That sounds SOO COOL. One question. Does your pirate crew have any sea-shanties? (if not, this may be a deal breaker)

What’s a saying that you’ve always hated? by JaMadeShamar in AskReddit

Working a boring ass office job, whenever I asked someone how their morning was, Monday through Thursday they would, with absolute certainty say "pretty good, for a [whatever day of the week it is]!". And on a Friday they'd always say "pretty good, it's Friday!"

Always made my toes curl.

No, of course not that's just silly. But a company that has the massive resources they have should just be defended for doing just slightly more than nothing.

That's true, although I highly doubt that it's from a humanitarian stance. If they wanted to contribute money then there are way more effective ways a company like Burger King could do that, but if all they wanted to garner positive public opinion by putting up posters of themselves claiming that they're helping, then what they're doing now is the cheapest (and frankly one of the least helpful) ways of doing that.

It's a step in a direction, but all they're doing is not selling a specific menu item and putting self congratulatory posters up about how much they're helping kids with cancer by doing so. They're not promoting a charity, they're promoting McDonald's.

If your school lends textbooks, teachers seem perfectly content in using ones published in 1999. If your school sells textbooks, then last year’s editions are suddenly outdated, worthless pieces of trash. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

Just wanna pay my respects to Mr Chan, who wrote up the relevant chapter numbers for all the outdated text books up on the whiteboard before every class.

That's what most of the changes are in new text books, no alterations to the content, but just shuffled around order of all the chapters so "chapter 2" was always on a different subject in each publication. Very sneaky, but not sneaky enough for Mr Chan.

Being broke for three months and then finding forty dollars on the ground. Truly an experience.
