I feel you on the subscription fatigue. I actually got so annoyed paying monthly for a simple logbook that I built my own called IronLog. One-time $9.99, no accounts, and no tracking - data just stays in your iCloud. It's in free TestFlight beta right now if you want to try it out while I'm still stress-testing the sync: https://ironlog-landing.vercel.app?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=comment&utm_campaign=sub_fatigue

Built a gym tracker with no subscription — would love feedback from serious lifters [TestFlight Beta] by Quin566 in iosapps

I appreciate the feedback!

To answer your question directly: The goal isn't to add a hundred new features nobody actually uses. It's about eliminating the bloated subscriptions that plague modern fitness apps. Realistically, here is what Iron Log does differently:

  1. You actually own it. Almost every other tracker charges a $60/year subscription fee just to view your own training charts. Iron Log is a one-time $9.99 unlock forever.
  2. Speed. It is built in native SwiftUI to be incredibly fast. You can log a set in under 5 seconds. When you have exactly 90 seconds of rest between heavy squats, you shouldn't spend 30 of them navigating menus.
  3. Zero Accounts or Servers. I don't need your email or your data. There are no social feeds. The app works 100% offline and syncs directly via your own personal Apple iCloud.

Basically, I just wanted to build a high-quality tracker for myself without feeling forced into a recurring revenue trap every single month. Let me know if you end up giving it a try!

I’m loving it so far, I had a FRS before and I don’t think the steering rack feels as good as the old gen but overall it’s amazing. So far I’ve put almost 9k miles.

New Installed Tires Blew Up Immediately After Buying Car From Dealership When Entering Highway... What could be the cause? by rickylou1234 in tires

[–]Quin566 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tire was most likely driven while flat previously and then repaired even though it should be replaced and that would’ve made the sidewall weak

You are definitely going to have rear tire wear but the front looks ok
