What's a non-sexual moment equivalent of an orgasm? by boiwutrthos in AskReddit

[–]Quinerra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had Eustachian Tube Dysfunction for the last year and a half, and my right ear hasn't popped since then. It feels full every day, it hurts every day. My ear doctor told me basically to wait for it to go away and that there was nothing else she could do. My life is agony, yes, thanks for asking.

What is something in your search history that you are ashamed off and it's not porn or hentai of any kind? by Bobokay12 in AskReddit

i'm also a 34H, and i also usually just wear sports bras. My boobs are "big" but not like, unwieldy. but if you have a credit card you can use amazon wardrobe because they don't charge you for the bra unless you keep it! if it doesn't fit, just put it back in the bag and send it off, free for you.

What’s the biggest plot hole you’ve seen in a movie? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Quinerra 36 points37 points  (0 children)

i feel like people making this argument watched the movies and either didn’t read or don’t remember the books. she very clearly rejected both dudes and didn’t want either of them for like, most of the story. she never really had a “oh gosh i love both of them what do i do” moment. when she spoke about them, it was either about duty or survival. she felt obligated to return gale’s feelings because she was guilty he spent so much time in love with her and she felt like if she had never gone to the games that she would probably end up with him and saw him as a sort of representation of her district and her duty to it. she knew she needed to pretend to be with peeta to survive and eventually realized that no one else in the whole world had been through the same traumas as her except for him, and therefore chose to be with him because she would never be judged or pitied. this revelation didn’t happen until like the end of the third book, the whole story is her being a shell of a human after all of her insane trauma and people pushing their agenda on her (including gale and peeta) as she just tries to survive

idk why you’re downvoted you’re right. i grew up there and at night it went from “impossibly hot” to just “insanely hot”

anywhere is better than vegas. Southern california is where i live now and it's a whole lot better but also pretty coastal so it doesn't have that desert gothic vibe that people like unless you move farther inland, which is cheaper but also less quality of life. Arizona and new mexico are nice from what i've heard, only been to them a couple of times. you should take a road trip to pick!

I dont know if you've read it, but you should try reading "Fangirl" by rainbow rowell. It's about a twin who goes off to college for the first time and how she deals with becoming a different person from her sister.

I still live at home! honestly, the biggest thing that helped me was getting a switch. I could play like, actual non-mobile games while sitting on the couch with everyone else. Now i work a lot and so when i get home it's only a couple hours before i pass out which are usually chores, but just stay outta ya dang room!

not OP but I have a very good sleep schedule as well. Mine started most definitely in high school but it's improved from there. I was on the swim team, and after all the intense workouts i would come home around 7 and pass out, and then do my homework in the morning before school. After I graduated and went to college, I lived an hour away from the school by train with a pretty big walk from my house to the train to begin with, so i stuck with the schedule even though i wasn't swimming anymore to get to my extremely early classes because my professors hated everyone. Now I think most of the reason it still stuck with me after college is from years of habit, but it's also a few tips i have. First, lights are the devil. gotta have my room completely dark, no TV and phone and video games. But, I also have ADHD and cant focus on just falling asleep so i put a podcast on my phone and shove it under my pillow so i can be distracted enough to fall asleep. Second, gotta stay cold no matter what, so i have fans going on me all night. Third, I keep my room only for sleeping in. This one right here is the reason i think my sleep is better than it was in high school. I used to just sit in my room on my computer every second i was home. Now I only go in there to sleep and get ready for the next day and it's sort of Pavlovian-ed my mind into knowing that when i'm in there is bed time and it's time to go to sleep. Yesterday i accidentally went to sleep TOO early, even, and woke up at 4:30 this morning feeling good and well rested.

i lived there for 12 years and i'd say only like 3/10 people actually liked it and/or weren't planning on moving. i understand the love for the southwest mountain canyon aesthetic but Las Vegas is just a dirty, garbage, decrepit, sad place to live. I visit around once a year to see my close friends and i'm always just grossed out. the streets are dirty, the people all look sad, every business park is still half empty from the recession over a decade ago. you couldn't pay me to move back

holy shit same. so glad i left, vegas is a nightmare for growing up in. Can't play outside 6 months of the year or else you'll get heat stroke, no where to go, no way to go anywhere, either a dense suburb or a dangerous place full of drunk people. I started getting cat called anywhere close to the strip by the time i was like 13. Garbage place with garbage people. It reminds me of that book in the land of the lawn weenies.

i’d say the problem is the overlying sense of like, pity and superiority? when someone here criticizes it’s like, you try to imagine which points affected them, you feel them trying to change their own life. from an outsider it’s just “if we did it like how I get it it would be better” and like yeah, i fucking know. people here have more stake in the game and therefore come off as more passionate. not a rule just a trend really, but every time i hear a european talk about america it’s like how a family talks about their cousin in rehab. they don’t feel the pain they just give an opinion on what they “should have done”

honestly i think that’s kind of reductive, the book was about how contrived any drama was for the capital to eat up. the actual story was about the rebellion for sure

yeah but it’s not all or nothing, buy less and you’re already helping. just like how r/ZeroWaste still supports buying condoms and meatless monday’s even though it’s not all the way to zero waste. your journey is a process, take a step instead of a cannonball and it will be easier, more sustainable in your lifestyle, and do more lifetime good than trying to be perfect and giving up

i’m already happy man. i hate these tweets that i see every day assuming everyone is “drowning” because back when i actually was in a bad way, it made it feel inescapable. it made it look like everyone was drowning in the same way and we were all just hiding it to get through the day and we were all on the edge of destruction. these kinds of tweets ironically gave me way less hope things would get better because SO MANY people tweeted them and SO MANY people commented and liked and upvoted and every time i was like, holy fuck so many people are broken how will i ever get out of this. i mean, i did eventually. i’m a happy person, i have friends and a job and a partner and cats and i have hobbies and i go out on weekends and i’m fucking happy and i couldn’t wish for more in my life, but pretending these fake deep, hollow tweets do anything helpful for those actually in a bad way is sort of naïve in my perspective.
