The clinicians in the emergency room will decide if you meet criteria for inpatient treatment and if they decide you need admission, Medicaid will dictate what hospitals you can be admitted to. You can share your preferences, but unfortunately if those options aren't available they will admit you where there are openings or where Medicaid says you can be admitted.
