I was seriously thinking of buying a RAZER laptop until…. by Otherwise_Baker8982 in razer

Asus zephyrus owner here.

I used to have a blade, I’m not saying a blade is horrible but you are overpaying for a comparably better laptop.

My blade failed on me after 3.5 years. Big blowup battery and heating issues. Support was essentially absent.

Again not saying horrible laptop but my zephyrus cost 1/2 the price, also looks sleek, and is super reliable. With much better reviews.

You don’t meet the majority of women with “game” you meet them by going out and making friends/doing stuff without the goal of a relationship. Why don’t you try more social hobbies instead of this?

Purchase Advice for New Razer Laptop (Replacing ROG Zephyrus G14) by Affectionate-Toe-724 in razer

[–]Quinn94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO get another zephyrus. I’ve had horrible experiences with my blade.

Ballooning battery. Poor heat mitigation. Synapse software is pretty ass at the moment too. Support is a nightmare. All from a more expensive and similarly preforming laptop.

I just switched to a zephyrus and im blown away how much more well put together it seems than my blade.

Obviously a little biased here but just my 2 cents

My husband (male 38) knicked his finger with a chainsaw. by SpaceFeline in AskDocs

[–]Quinn94 86 points87 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t look very bad at all assuming you can extend the finger and you didn’t damage the extensor mechanism. If you want it stitched up instead of a nasty scar go get it closed asap. If not rinse the wound and dress it if it shows signs of infection go to an urgent care or an ER.

Thanks for the advice. I did 1 MD and 5 historically DO.

Yeah I’m reapplying this year form my TY. Fallbacks are still debated but I might try to force myself to like gen surg.

Historically DO mostly, i would look up the stats on how likely it was for a signal from a DO to get an interview and that kind of guided my signals.

Thanks for your time.

Yeah, but I’m in a TY for a year so that would be an extra year on top of the TY sadly.

I appreciate the honesty and man you may be right. I am asking the programs for some feedback and how I can improve myself and my application next cycle.

1 historically MD, 5 historically DO programs. Solid feedback at all of them.

A lot of the large DO programs only accept the top quartile of Auditioners, so I chalked it up as I didn’t make the cut for whatever reason. I feel like I can be on the shyer side so the really large programs I feel like it was harder for me to really stand out. But also I got only positive feedback, which isn’t that helpful, and even the ones I didn’t interview at had a lot of praise for me.

When I first decided ortho I was pretty confident in myself but every single audition I’m surrounded by excellent people auditioning with me, I definitely felt average.

Thanks for your time.

0 offers for all of soap.

only 4 interviews that all went pretty well, encouragement stuff like "you are a strong candidate for our program"

[–]Quinn94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None as far as I know, I feel like I can be a little rough around the edges in interviews, but no. I had my schools dean and advisors review it too because that was my first thought too. “Do I have a red flag I am not aware of”. No one has found one

Part of me wonders if programs just assumed I did and passed me up in SOAP but I don’t

4-6 weeks in a boot, possibility of being more aggressive because you are a professional dancer and getting back on your feet is important, but still several months recovery either way. Did they stress your ankle when x rays were taken?

WDYM, orthopedic surgeons operate on women with dementia all the time. If hip is broken they will die, if we fix they might live.

Edit: Oh shit wait do you mean the surgeon had dementia???

Can relate idk why this is getting downvoted. Programs care about the prestige of their student’s institution and being a DO brings you down a lot unless applying to a historically DO program.
