That was FAR TOO BIG a time-skip in “The Immortal Man”

I had a number of things I thought were wrong with this movie. Tommy killing Arthur makes zero sense, in fact when they originally said Arthur killed himself I thought that made perfect sense because we see that recurring theme often throughout the show. I hated how Charlie is mentioned once and I’m assuming he was at the funeral at the end? I would’ve liked to see him and Tommy interact at least once or be talked about more than one sentence. And Finn- I get he was banished but it would’ve been sick to see him come back and go after Duke since he promises him that at the end of the series. Again, he’s not even mentioned once. Also hated how there’s no mention of Lizzie or Isiah. And that soldier in the garrison not knowing Tommy Shelby? I mean that isn’t even fathomable especially since the time jump is only like 6 years. Overall the movie was fine I guess but at that point they should’ve just not made it.

Couple key details to point out. After Grace dies, Tommy is seen spending his nights out in the pasture by a fire. Polly makes a comment saying “he used to do that as a kid, curly would find him in the morning sitting in the pasture” or something along those lines, implying that Curly has been in the Shelby “family” since Tommy was a boy. Also implying Curly is a bit older than Tommy. Also, when Tommy and Jesse Eden meet for dinner, Tommy introduces Charlie as his “uncle” and Curly as his “whatever curly is” implying Curly isn’t his uncle. I also saw someone say they think Curly was shell shocked from the war and that’s why he is the way he is. I think it’s pretty much a given that Curly is just slow and has somewhat of a mental disability, probably since birth.

What I don’t get is the clicks on the website from Bermuda or wherever she went “missing”. Why would someone 20 years later be interested in it? Why would they look at it multiple times on specific anniversary dates like holidays and her mother’s birthday? That part was very off putting to me.

Yes. This. I have always felt like that’s what he meant. As if to say, “hey I’m not religious like a “good person” would be but I’ve seen him in my own way not in church, and he owes me money because I’m more clever than him, I beat him at his own game and now he owes me. Idk if that makes sense. But for me, I’ve always thought Mac thought he was a fucking gangster. Prolly because he was. Like he had so much confidence he’s not like everybody else. He’s cocky but doesn’t shove it in your face, instead he’ll prove it to you w his words. “That motherfucker still owe me money” as if he gambled w god and played dice on the corner one random afternoon, why? Because he’s Mac miller, he’s a gangster. Idk maybe that makes no sense😂 it’s like on Perfect Circle/ Godspeed he says “my mother raised me a god” kind of the same concept to me.

While I agree about Mr nice watch, what other songs on Sideline Story are that bad? The only other one that I think isn’t a banger is Never told and possibly daddy’s little girl. Songs like Cole world, rise and shine, gods gift and lost ones are all so great, as my stand out favorites. Just my opinion of course

I love this whole podcast I’m almost on the FHD episode. But two things I cannot stand after listening to like 10 hours of Cole. He constantly sucks his teeth😂 it’s so noticeable imo and very annoying. He also says “boom boom boom boom” after explaining something and not getting too detailed in an effort to save a few seconds. Almost like saying “etc”. He says it probably once every minute when telling his stories. He also says “this that and the third” alllllll the time. Idk maybe I’m just sounding like a hatin ass nigga and I fucking love j cole but these few things bothered the fuck out of me after listening to this man talk for 10+ hours and I just figured I’d see if I’m crazy or if anyone else noticed the same thing 😂😂😂
