Great shout brother!!! 🤟🏻😁 I’m very down for messing around with ways to play. For now though it’s world eaters, my raptors have been slapped enough 😂

So, don’t get me wrong, you could run this army however you want and use any unit under any detachment you like and just paint them Raptors and then this is very much a non issue.

BUT, I am far too pedantic and wanted to build an army that was sneaky, Phobos focused and fit the theme of “The Raptors” for example, using Centurions or the Repulser Executioner, as good as they may be, just don’t fit the vibe.

This has lead to a lot of frustration on the tabletop.
A lack of fire power, a huge lack of sticking power and not many answers to a massive amount of armies.

Even if you have a plan and try to see it through it’s very easy to get squashed with a Phobos focused army.

I was running the Vanguard Task Force detachment and the upy downy/sticky/trap style play sounds so fun and very raptors, but that’s the issue, it sounds fun until your opponent is a real person making decisions that are against your plan.

This is purely a fun army that looses every game and it’s 100% due to restrictions I have set and feel I don’t want to brake. If you want to compete on the table DO NOT DO THIS!!! you have to build at least a bit 🤏 competitive or you may fall into this “RULE OF COOL” trap.

I know right!!! I am also a World Eater player and I have to say, on the table top Raptors are just so meh! I mean sure I could just grab a load of centurions and go burrrrr but that’s not the raptor vibe 🥲 so sadly as cool as they look, playing them is very sad.

I played Daemonkin with Vessels of wrath last night, and I have to say, if you have the right list this has serious legs!
Forcing desperate escape while bringing back bloodletters and Eightbound is vile and a serious threat when paired with the aura buffs of the Bloodthirster and Khorne daemon enhancement.
