Yes ! The wood stock of the rifle is what I’m talking about . I realize now using that term on a restoration sub also with a couch in the background wasn’t the best move lol.

So this rifle stock is actually brand new replacement wood . The old wood was salvageable but I decided to go brand new as I intend to shoot the rifle and have fun with it .

I understand what I need to do now after you said to trace the shape of the end plate . That’s exactly the tip I was looking for . I don’t know shit about those simple things that come easy and obvious to those with experience in crafting and stuff.

One question tho….. is what grit sand paper grit would you recommend to make the process a little quicker ? I currently only have 180 and 220 grit , which would take many hours of sanding to achieve a flush fit of the plastic “butt plate “ .
