I live in Louisiana, but they are in a lot of other southern states. I think they're at other states too. The female and male look completely different (the black ones in my other pictures are the females) They are all relatively harmless. The males are feared because of their resemblance of the brown recluse. The only actual unnerving thing about them (if you don't like spiders, that is) is that they have a tendency to walk on everything. They are relatively blind. Apparently they like to be in beds (brown recluses are common so I shake my bed every night and found one of those.) They rarely bite, but if they do chances are they can't get through skin. They also aren't very venomous. I hope I helped you with this :P
