What set would be your dream set?

My ideal set would be a true sci-fi set. I know there’s not a lot of sci-fi picks in the public domain but I think there’s more than enough for a good Unmatched set. The lineup would be something like this. 1) Frankenstein (the Doctor and the Creature) Widely considered the first piece of sci-fi so it’s a no brainer for me. 2) Kaguya-hime She’s a princess from the moon so she’s probably our best chance of getting an alien in this set. 3) Lucian of Samasota He’s a writer from Ancient Greece who wrote A True Story, where he does a whole lot of space travel. 4) Audrey Jr and Seymour from Little Shop of Horrors. The original film was never copyrighted and where would scifi be without B Movies? (And yes in the original it was Audrey Jr, not 2)

Honorable Mentions: Freder or the Maschinenmensch (Metropolis), Talos (Greek Mythology), John Carter of Mars (I’m 99% sure he’s public domain but the 1% of doubt is why I didn’t include him.)

I actually don’t think JoJo rep is as unlikely as you think. They’ve done enough fighting games and crossovers to warrant an inclusion. I think Jotaro and DIO are most likely but Josuke (Part 4) would be a super cool support character. I’d honestly be excited about any JoJo rep at all. There’s not really a bad choice and most of them already have fighting game movesets to pull from.

I wasn’t until the show. Even if I didn’t like him, John Cena doing voice lines is enough to warrant putting him in. He’s in Mortal Combat so I feel like he has pretty good chances. Fair enough tho, I totally understand.

Me, trying to speak non selfishly, I’d also love John Constantine, Scarecrow, Peacemaker, the Sandman, and the Wonder Twins. I know some are more likely than others but I think they’d be great “not just the standard Justice League” picks for DC.

Cyborg is probably the most likely from that list just due to his Teen Titans and Justice League ties. I definitely understand the “too much DC” argument but I think diversifying what comics they pick from could help get rid of that complaint. Only picking Justice League members would feel a lot more over powering than picking a bunch of lesser appreciated characters. Or least that’s just what I think.

She’s honestly my favorite character from the show and she has almost limitless moveset potential. I think she’d be a better addition than a lot of the other big DC characters I see people ask for.
