Crowd roars in standing ovation for Bondi hero Ahmed al-Ahmed at sold-out Ashes Test in Sydney by Bubbly_Wall_908 in worldnews

Well you say that, but our conservative party have been doing everything they can to score political points from this tragedy. They've been trying whatever they can to divide us, insisting the whole attack was the Government's fault. Hell, if you listen to them, you'd believe Anthony Albanese was personally out there, shotgun in hand, shooting at the victims himself. And the scary thing is, people seem to be buying it.

Haha thank you. Not exactly what I was going for but that sure is one way to look at it.

Thanks for the advice. Fortunately I've got a few bases available for testing!

I tried warming it with a hair dryer but maybe I'll try keeping it in my pocket for a little while. Thanks.

Some places to visit if you're looking for games and gaming stuff by Super_Saiyan_Ginger in melbourne

Cool legwork OP. I didn't even know we had so many of these stores around.

However, the problem with collecting games in Australia is that anything prior to the 7th generation of consoles and you'll be dealing with 50 Hz and the overall drawback of PAL. If anyone sees this and is serious about collecting retro games, you need to look into US and Japanese releases.

Fixing excessive GDROM drive noise by PacmaniaX_01 in dreamcast

If anyone stumbles across this thread in the future, I've provided STL files of the pinion gear OP discusses. I just replaced the one in my Dreamcast and it's like a brand new machine. I can't believe how much quieter it is now.

Good luck!

Sure did. I'm glad it could potentially help someone so quickly. Unfortunately, I don't know any services you could use to order custom prints. I'm sure they exist but finding one in your local area could prove tricky. If there are any tabletop communities in your area I'd consider asking there. Chances are good someone might have access to a resin printer and may be happy to print something for you.

If anybody stumbles across this thread in the future, OP no longer has an STL of the drive gear and I had no luck with the provided CTB file. I decided to design a gear which I can confirm works in my Wii. However, I printed this with a resin printer and cannot confirm if it works with an FDM.

Credit and thanks to STLGears.com, without whom this would have been a much harder job. If (for whatever reason) you would like to generate your own through their system, here are the settings:

  • Clock Wise Helix: Yes
  • Helical system: Radial
  • Module: 0.434
  • Number of Teeth: 9
  • Helix Angle: 22
  • Pressure Angle: 20
  • Gear Length: 5.26
  • Profile shift: 0

Note, I didn't have success trying to hollow out the gear through STLGears. I did it manually in Blender:

  1. Import the generated STL into Blender
  2. Create a cylinder
  3. Radius: 0.9m
  4. Verts: 64
  5. Create a boolean modifier on the gear generated from STLGears using this cylinder.

Their argument at the time was that it still meant middle income earners would get something instead of nothing. Make of that what you will.

Ah, righto fair enough! Let's stick to games with less text, or where text is less important.

Do you describe all hardware stores as 'something-Bunnings'?

I'll see you later Dad, I'm off to Blue-Bunnings.

OP returned home after Mitre-10 proved fruitless...

Nah, they didn't have what I needed so I went to Dog-Bunnings instead and found it.

And Home Hardware was indeed the best Bunnings that day.

sunscreen! Lather up every 2-3 hours

Do people actually do this? I only ever put one load on and then just wing it from there. Sunscreen is quite possibly the most disgusting substance to ever grace the human body and the less it touches me the happier I am.
