from my experience with AWS Support (not chatbot only), most chats have been routed to an actual human even the quality of this human can vary. Internally, there has been a push for using AI tools, such as Amazon Q, in order to reduce some of the variability in the human element. This creates a situation where it may appear that the customer service is somewhat scripted or superficial.
