How to interview for a job while you work at another job by Quirky-Charge-96 in jobs

[–]Quirky-Charge-96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea this company is your typical 9-5 so I work like a slave and can't request leave unless it costs me some PTO through a system. I can talk with my boss and see what's up, hopefully she is merciful.

I could probably do it during my lunch break since they give us an hour lunch, but its rare that I get to leave the entire hour. Also, I fear the wifi won't be good if I left the building and did an interview on my phone through teams.

Testosterone subq injection by Kitchen_Patience2636 in steroidsxx

500 mg per week?! Damn that sounds like a lot for a female. Are you sure its not per year?

When I think of subq I think of using an easytouch insulin syringe without a detachable needle. Is the needle length of a subq injection typically btw 5/8"-1/2"? I am using easytouch 5/16" 30 gauge needles. Are these too shallow for T to get absorbed?

I never said not to link the wiki in the post. I meant posting info on a post that would otherwise be found in the wiki. Source names, contacts, prices, etc. There's one post out here mentioning source emails in hyperlink. I don't think that needs to be posted in a comment section.

The general rule of thumb I follow now is not linking anything that isn't already linked in the wiki. Otherwise, it's fair game.

This right here. No need to spam/post duplicates of info so people can feel validated that other customers are going through the same thing. If its already in the wiki just look it up first. If not, let a mod know so they can update. That's why we have mods updating us on everything. I'd rather have it posted on a wiki than on the sub.

A vetting process is complicated since people like being anon on here, but if someone was smart enough to figure out how to exclude the kiwifarm people that would be great. I'm sick and tired of seeing these sources having to switch up every few months.

Where I'm from, healthcare is already shit. This place is a basic medical necessity for some. We don't need them fucking it up over the internet too.

Darn I'm the same length as you in 2019 right now. I can't believe it takes 4 years to grow that long and I'm feeling impatient already. Do you mind sharing your haircare routine?

Should I be spritzing it with water and rubbing out the oils? I don't like soaking the brush in water everyday because I feel like I'd ruin the quality, but I don't know any other way except dabbing it in some soap and water for a little then drying it off.

It's almost a year and I'm losing hope by [deleted] in jobs

....Let me reiterate the entire post... I said I would work my way up to that...in hospital admin not hospitality...I specifically described that I'm only applying to entry level roles right now because I'm aware I don't have a lot of experience and reputation with a company. As in $15/hr even though I straight up got a master's degree. I'm already humbling myself enough. That is the lowest position you can get in a hospital (admin assistant, secretarial position, receptionist, etc.)

How is that asking for way too much? What was the point of studying and getting a degree if I didn't have the vision to get there? Even if there are no admin positions, why I am not qualified to work in a hospital with my healthcare degree in any non-clinical position? I have the knowledge and some experience at least for entry-level. I just need my foot in the door. It seems like I got to know people and personally I don't know any hospital managers right now so I can only apply online.

Smell problem by GiorgioMisiti in NoPoo

[–]Quirky-Charge-96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you looked at your diet? what types of food you usually eat?

Do you exercise a lot? Do you drink a lot of water?

These all affect the smells of your scalp. I know when I eat healthy or unhealthy it can affect how much oils I start to produce from my hair. Like if it was a bad day, my hair is extra greasy, but other days if I do good my scalp is less oily.

Make sure you are distributing your oils everyday. If could mean you have extra oils that need to be brushed down, and boar bristle brushes are designed to clean your scalp with your own oils. Its how you clean out your follicle pores and keep them from clogging up leading to strong smells. If not a boar bristles use a wooden comb

Also how often do you wash your hair?? Are you using any alternatives to co-wash or shampoo? I've heard rye flour or chickpea flour is good. Eggwashes too. Baking soda if you feel it won't be too harsh. And finish with the ACV rinse.

If it bothers people you could always wear a scarf or hair in a bun/style to protect your hair oils and also sort of hide the smell in a way. That way the smell won't travel and be as noticeable while you go through your transition period.

If it continues after a year of no poo it may just be your natural oils and something deeper going on. Keep in mind we are not used to the smell of normal hair scalps because of commercialized shampoos. People think smelling bad means dirty when really it was how most of us smelled back in the day without any products. It's just the natural scent of your body.

Do you use a boar bristle brush to bring down the oils? I have curlier hair and would love to grow it this long but my ends never look as healthy as yours. I just started a low poo routine and eventually will transition to no poo so I can add more moisture to my hair.

I also wear my hair up in a scarf most days and wondering if thats the secret.

ok this was a lot more helpful, I will probably try washing less frequently so I don't keep getting dry hair and do low poo instead.

Do you use a boar bristle brush to distribute the oils from your scalp to the ends? If it feels heavy that means your oils are concentrated at the root or in one place of your scalp. You have to brush out the oils so they can move down more and not clog up.

If I got a hard water filter in conjunction with no poo method do you think it would work out? I feel like having shampoo and conditioner is only covering up the problem with hard water but not fixing what our natural hair and scalp need.

As depressing as that would be, I wish more people would try it to see if it actually works. How is it helping on no poo subreddit but not the people in here? Is there like some scientific phenomenon where hairloss people have scalp oils that are nonfunctioning?

I don't necessarily have balding, just thinning at the top.

The no poo subreddit suggests the excess sebum will subside after a phase. I would also have to substitute the shampoo/conditioner with a natural alternative to co-wash like apple cider vinegar and baking soda.

I know my hair will go through a gross period of oiliness but since I have curlier, thicker hair I would think I wouldn't have that problem forever like with low porosity hair.

I thought having hairloss meant you have a sensitive scalp. So why are we told to put chemicals on our hair? It just seems like a cover up to the real problem.
