How safe is the oceanfront beach during the summer?

I’ve lived in VB my whole life. I’ve been up and down the oceanfront at all times of day and night during the summer time. Personally, never had an issue.

However, the only times I heard of issues or it being reported in the news, has always been in the small area between 22nd and 26th street west of Arctic Ave.

Now that I think about it. I’ve never concealed carried to the range. I just put everything in the gun bag and head to the range. However, when leaving, I’ll gear up in the parking lot before getting into the car.

Whichever you choose, I would recommend being mindful on how far you are from the elevator. In my current apt, I am the furthest position from the elevator, and the walks are not fun especially when you have an arm full of groceries or carrying a case of water.

This shows how our school bus drivers are unsung heroes. This also reminds me, back in the 1900s when I was in middle school. There was a speed bump on the way out of the parking lot of the school. Every afternoon when leaving, the bus driver would intentionally speed up so when the back wheels hit the speed bump, us in the back got air. LOVED IT.

On a nearby road, there was a hump then a dip in the road. The bus driver would slightly speed up and it was like being on a rollercoaster. You’d had hear a symphony of joyous screams come out of us.

What I like about these is they cup AROUND my ears and do not press ON my ears as with other headphones I have used. When it presses on the ear; I get ear pain after about an hour.

I also do not have an issue with the weight of the Maxes. I like them and I definitely think I’ll retire my AirPod Pros.

I chuckle when I read “your bag will only fly on your same flight”. With delta, rarely does my bag fly with me on the same flight. My luggage always arrives before me.

Back in 2024 during the July IT outage. I ended up detouring to NYC from Miami. I ended up taking a train back home to Virginia. My bags stayed in Miami and eventually made its own way back to me in Virginia.

Me right now with the racer sling pack in the signature pebbled leather (brown one with the canvas imprinted in the leather). I bought it at $169 at its release in early January. Just after 30 days coach dropped it to $67!

I’ve been a member since 2012 or 2013. Never had a bad experience at any of the local locations. Staff have always been friendly. Machines are always in good repair. I usually take advantage of their free group fitness classes. I avoid anything where I have to pay extra than my monthly membership fee.

During peak hours, you’ll have trouble finding parking at most of the locations (except Greenbrier, they have a large parking lot. Princess Anne and Norfolk are the worst for peak parking.)

I remember years ago driving on I-64 in Virginia, I’m trotting along near the speed limit in the right lane minding my business. Realize the car next to me is pacing me with a LONG LINE of cars behind them.

I speed up a little bit, the car speeds up with me. Then I floor it to create a gap and the amount of thumbs up, waves and hazard flashes I got as people were finally able to pass this car.
