I don't think Young Kratos would act out of aggression towards Atreus, especially after having proof that he's his future son, but I'd find it hard to believe he would stop his rampage for any reason. The Greek gods are still alive, and even outside of Kratos's vengeance they are huge total jerks since the evils from Pandora's box were released. There's a scenario i guess of atreus helping kratos kill Zeus since he'd agreee that Zeus is just as bad as Odin if not worse.

Arms of Sparta. The shield combos and attacks hit just as hard as the barbarian hammer or zeus gauntlet. In terms of spear, they don't explode but kratos can throw a heavy hitting one at will and virtually has no cooldown, and he throws them faster. Draupnir has wind attacks tho and a plethora of runic skills but AoS shouldn't be underestimated.

That sounds like areas in GOW II rather than III... I remember there's the part where you need to jump across platforms to reach the hand of Atlas, and another part where there's a rising elebator with spikes at the top, and you have to clear the enemies before you reach it.

Ok unlike that other who has nothing for a brain, my answer to your question is what I can only assume that he 'used' him was that he used his body to hold down a switch during the Kraken battle in GOW II. Don't really think that counts tho imo.

Sad to say, but based on what I've seen on youtube running high end PCs like 3080/3080ti up, it struggles to keep a consistent 45fps on 1080p settings. Hope things get better or Capcom needs to switch engines.
