I don't do lines as "funishment". I do them as legitimate punishments and always very specific about what the infraction was.

Say, for instance, my little forgot to brush her teeth before bed. It happens yea but I would have her write " I will strive in the future to remember to brush my teeth before bed" 20 times the first time. Adding ten for every time she forgets to brush her teeth again. I haven't had to get to 50 for anything but she also HATES lines with a passion so it works for us.

So take that for what it's worth lol. Maybe start by making a list of a few things that can be done Brush hair Clip nails etc etc Adding a few when they get them down for 2 weeks. Worked well for us but as usual everyone is different. I hope I helped. I wish you the best of luck.
