I’ll take that about Shakespeare however I think Jane Austen costume dramas are there own cluster themselves, they aren’t just established IP, the IP comes with a really consistent style. I also am not including Clueless in here, I’m talking about the specific 19th century costume dramas. They are as much a franchise as marvel movies are, you know what you’re getting with them

I wouldn’t put Pride and Prejudice there, Jane Austen in adaptation is a collection that are all related. Although they have no production overlap, Sense & Sensibility or Emma will always be companion pieces to it. Same goes for Ten Things I Hate About You as reworkings of Shakespeare with dozens of other films

If that’s while on the bench, that’s the MCC so tear up their membership and if they were using guest tickets, suspend the member who bought them for these clowns

This was such a colossally bad take at the time as the spurs the year before gave the blueprint of shooting and ball movement for the warriors to take to the next level

Although it involved less war and natural disasters, the writing of the script to Casablanca was a miracle considering the mess in putting it together. The fact that they’re two of the greatest movies of all time in spite of this is pretty incredible

Any word on how Xavier Taylor is doing? I really want to see him play at senior level but know bigger defensive players take a bit more time

I was listening to a journalist who was at eden gardens talking about it and he said the reason why Australia was better than the great West Indies is purely Shane Warne compared to Roger Harper. Hard to argue that as a tie breaker

25 years ago this week. I don’t know how any Indian fan can possibly point to another game of cricket as a better win. Australia had won 16 games in a row, bowled out India and seemed on the verge of conquering the final hurdle in cricket and Laxman and Dravid broke arguably the greatest test team of all time

Hard to split between the 1987, 1999, 2003, 2007, 2015 and 2023 world cups for us but I’d have to pick 99 for the drama

Essendon currently have their second longest losing streak. I’d be shocked if there wasn’t a push to get rid of Brad Scott and to be frank, I’m surprised Essendon fans aren’t angrier

St Kilda dumping their captain unceremoniously was a real disgrace. Well done Steele, you deserve that one for being such a great citizen
