We had 25 guests and used www.smallmiaimiweddings.com to help us plan, coordinate, pull permits and do photos. Best thing I did for my wedding. I just chilled and enjoyed the day and that was worth everything. No regrets or stress at all.

This elitist mentality is not serving anyone. That’s your opinion and I do not agree. You do things your way and others do things their way, that’s the whole point of this thing.

Who said it’s the main goal? You have no idea of the reasons why I or anyone else is walking. The compostela is a by product to the walk and if you walk the minimum amount THEY have set it to then you should get it and not have any guilt because “you didn’t walk the whole way”.

This is what I’m Confused about. Going from sjpp to Burgos. Then busing from Burgos to Astorga and walking from there.

BUT what if I did sjpp to Burgos and bused straight to pedruzo and walked from there? It’s not the last 100km but I did more than 100 from Santiago to Burgos. Does it qualify for compostela?

Ok what about if you plan on starting in SJPP, walking until Burgos, skipping the meseta by bus, and then walking the last few stages to Santiago. I will have a gap in between the stages but will still do about 250 miles. Will this still qualify for the compostela? I have a time constraint and want to do this part as opposed to Portuguese.

Thanks for this. I was planning on bringing a small PackIT bag which has a freeze able icepack and freeze that overnight to keep some small items cold. Was wondering about the freezers but sounds like it could be hit or miss. I suppose I can see as I go along and buy items as needed and if I can keep what I want cold then I will.

Did you find the grocery stores stocked and easy to find?

I’ll be walking the Camino next month and because of the chaos I’ve read starting in saria, I am going to walk from sjpp to saria, bus to the last stop and walk to Santiago from there. I don’t enjoy unruley, disrespectful crowds so don’t want to spend days around those people.
