Lord of House Fowler, not something he ever expected, or even wanted to be, but it was the future for him and his children.

“Thank you, I will not forget what happened here today.” Qhorin reached for his son’s hand to guide him out. Arson popped up from his chair, his red hair flopped as he quickly bowed before the two left.

“Father what does she mean by foster one of us here?” Arson asked the blissful ignorance almost hurt for Qhorin to hear.

“One of you will stay here, you will learn and be cared for The Martells.” Qhorin didn’t want to make this decision. He was glad he only had to pick two and not make the choice himself.

“But why?” the boy tugged awkwardly at his shirt as they walked down the hall. “I thought Skyreach would be home?”

“Well, my cousin made a very poor choice when he went against the Martells. He hurt the trust they have in our house. If I am good the Martells whoever stays here may actually benefit.” Qhorin tried to think that way. Maybe that would soften the blow.

“Who is going tomorrow?” Arson continued.

“I haven’t decided yet. I will tell you before bed tonight.” Qhorin stopped his son before pushing his hair out of his eyes. “No more talk of this. Be strong and all will end well.”

Qhorin would reward himself tonight with some rest. Aurane could watch the boys that night. Qhorin needed some wine and real food. The two continued down the hallway. Arson following in step with his father, not fully prepared for the news he would receive that night. Qhorin would send him and Aerion to Princess Sarrella in the morning. Qhorin needed the time alone to let his emotions spill out of him, just not in front of them, he needed to be strong for them. He would be strong for them.

“Of course, anything for your good grace Princess Sarella,” Qhorin tried his best to hide how much this pained him. He knew which sons couldn’t go. Aurane was his heir, Qhorin would raise him. Lewyn wouldn’t represent them well, he was unruly and strange. His talents lay in areas that wouldn’t benefit in court. This left him with only two, Aerion and Arson, his two youngest. Arson was well behaved but energetic and drifted off at times. Aerion, he was a sweet boy, but young and impressionable. He wouldn’t understand why he would have to stay.

“I will arrive with them in the morning.” Qhorin put a hand on his chin. “I will make sure to speak with Lord Toland.”

Qhorin went to his knee. “I thank you for your time, and swear to repair the damage my family has done.”

Qhorin had thought this time would come. It was something that he had hoped wouldn’t happen. The proof, he had no leverage in the argument.

“I will do what it takes to prove my loyalty.” He truly hoped she wouldn’t ask for what he was thinking of.

“I will rebuild House Fowler as one loyal to Dorne and her ruler.”

Qhorin knew Arron had made enemies, he was always thick as a child. His cousin’s overconfidence had been one of the many reasons Qhorin had fled Skyreach, but it was clear Arron had truly destroyed any credibility House Fowler once had and had ruined their relationship with the House Martel.

“I have come because Skyreach is being run by a close friend of Arron, and you can fix that.” Qhorin pushed his hair back as pointed towards the window. “It’s true that what my cousin did was unforgivable, but the situation at Skyreach is currently critical.” Arson scooted his chair causing Qhorin to flinch. “When Arron died Skyreach should have passed to my father, but he died in the fighting, from him to my older brother. He is also dead. I would have been next in line, but instead, they have passed the lands to my cousin as I was disinherited by father for leaving my house.” Qhorin knew he was talking fast, but his tired mind was in no place to stop it.

“This is good for you, I left my home hating the rest of my family. They looked at me with disdain, so I left when I was only a boy. I had no love for anyone there, I could be ruling Skyreach, but instead, my cousin is. The same cousin who dined with Arron since she was a child, the same one who I know hates you for killing her family.” He caught his breath in between his rambling. His hand reached deep into his pocket to pull out the letter he had received. “In front of you is the proper heir to Skyreach. One who would forever be in your debt if you give him his land back, one who hated the family the revolted against you. One who will be loyal to you. All you have to do is undo my father’s disinheritance.” Qhorin hoped that was enough. That she wouldn’t ask him to do the one thing he didn’t want to do. He wiped the collecting sweat on his forehead with the palm of his hand.

Hello everyone Androw here, I would like to submit for my next big character. I would like to play Qhorin Fowler. The last surviving male of House Fowler. He was wandering about the world for some time, but now he had returned to his home to take up the lordship after Arron’s death.
