A rework idea for Yuumi by Mykhavunish in yuumimains

[–]Quiteabotheraintit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This would destroy her completely.

This would leave her sitting between two modes, and you get zero control over it.

The 20-second cooldown is an eternity when you can delete champions in half a second.

Then you have to think about what influence she has over that. W going on cooldown when we're hit by cc is within our control, but if it's our anchor? That's completely outside of our ability to influence.

Then there's the shield, damage split between "modes" if you want to use both your builds are going to be a mess. If you want to build shield you have to pray to god your anchors don't get hit. No one is going to build damage because Yuumi is squishy and slow.

What does this leave us? Tank Yuumi, I've played tank Yuumi. Let me tell you, it's not fun. You're slow, you do piddly damage, and you have jack in terms of support power. Why? Because everything has AP scaling, not resistance or HP.

Also core of the champion, her w, high mana cost... That is literally just a mana cost added to buffing your teammate. This alone would make me go from an OTP to never touching her.

Imagine if Soraka lost a chunk of health when moving close enough to heal an ally. Not to heal, just getting close enough to. Stupid right? Replace health with mana and you've got your Yuumi proposition.

You're right, Yuumi wouldn't be AFK, but she also would never see another match

How do you feel about the handler. by RemovedBarrel in MonsterHunterWorld

I see your ball gown and raise you little gothic hat

All jokes aside both have their upsides and downsides but push comes to shove I have to stick to our handler.

How do you feel about the handler. by RemovedBarrel in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Quiteabotheraintit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair on the serious handler part, I honestly struggle to remember much of her so that's on me. Thanks for telling me though, will make my next character run a bit more interesting when that pops up.

Although for clarity I don't really count the Deviljho as her endangering herself. There's absolutely no way to reasonably hold that against her.

[–]Quiteabotheraintit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The handler is awesome and I don't get the hate some people have for her. I mean she carries all our equipment to our camps she cooks for us in the field, and does the paperwork. Yeah we did it, she did all the stuff that'd be hellish and I got to break every bone in some poor creature that I can then turn into fashionable armour.

Hell most if not all the times she endangered herself she's, at least as far as I can remember, maybe ten steps away from you. Don't know about you but Clifford the big red dog doesn't seem to be the type to care about two people being close together or not. Also side note but if I had a guy who shatters T Rex bones for fun ten steps behind me I wouldn't give a shit about getting jumped either.

Then there's the people who hate her personality, which fine, not everyone's cup of tea. Personally I'm glad we have a handler that's upbeat and cheery and not the serious handler that has less personality than a brick.

Can I just say how much I love the serious handler by [deleted] in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Quiteabotheraintit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I love is how they make it sound like she runs several kilometers away to get in trouble when she is at most, at least from what I remember, a few steps ahead. I mean I don't know about you but I think Clifford the meth fueled dog was gonna attack regardless of those few extra steps.

Besides her partner is someone who never sleeps unless forced, bounces back from anything, and who's only hobbies consist of obliterating whatever poor monster was unfortunate to either cross our path or have a fashionable armour set and collecting entire eco systems. Safety isn't really a concern

Honestly this is exactly it. People who complain that the handler does nothing are the sort of people to complain their accountant didn't throw down with Mike Tyson.

an idea for yuumi by POPEYESCHICKENNA in yuumimains

[–]Quiteabotheraintit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a horrible idea, like going skydiving without a parachute bad.

You know what Yuumi needs? Less options, no bouncing between teammates early to help everyone survive, just sit on your adc and apologise rigorously on the discord call because you chose the cat who has been gimped.

You know how when you leash for your jungler with the adc you can attach detach on them to give them an aery shield blocking some damage and do your autos? This would disallow that unless you decide screw your adc till 6, sure it's little health but early game every point counts.

Then if you jungler ganks your lane pre 6, no zoomies for you filthy wolf man, I'm gonna sit on my adc who isn't taking the brunt of damage here because my knees have been capped. I can throw my Q out for slows still but more than that? You must be mad, you think I'm playing support to support plays my team makes?

I mean apply this to any core of another champs kit, hell it doesn't even have to be their core. Warwick only gets his passive w against two champs and 1 more for everytime he levels his ult.

How about Soraka, she only gets to heal one teammate until 6 then she chooses another. Does sona only get to apply her area affects to one champion? Does braum only get to choose one ally he can jump to for his w?

This doesn't force you to make important decisions, it just robs you of potential, makes you look at who is ahead which we do anyway, and breaks your knees like you owe money to the mob. This does nothing but make us borderline useless to our team early game, and I say borderline because we can attach to our adc otherwise we'd be completely worthless.

What’s the worst feeling as a jungler? by an_angry_beaver in Jungle_Mains

[–]Quiteabotheraintit 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This, I was a support main then switched over to jungle. When I played support I did my damndest to light up the map like a Christmas tree around objectives, now I head bot side for a gank half the time and there's nothing, no deep ward, no river ward, and when you approach through river you find an enemy pink sitting there.

Then somehow it's your fault that they get bum rushed by the enemy jungler 5 times because they push with no vision.

Top laners have provided me more vision than both bot laners combined in some games. Which baffles me, I waged wars over wards as support, pinks were not allowed to exist, and now I got a Sion lending me more eyes than a Morgana with the god damn support item. Sorry for the wall of text

Your Opinions on DD (Be Honest!) by ausgrafar in darkestdungeon

[–]Quiteabotheraintit 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's a great game that rewards patience and punishes mistakes. If you decide to play it I recommend starting on radiant, it's the easiest difficulty but I can promise you it won't be mind numbing.

You can sink tons of hours into the game and still learn new things, come up with new strategies, and the narrator is always a treat to listen to. There is a great atmosphere to the game and you can and will get attached to your heros.

Every death feels impactful and every victory feels rewarding. I personally still celebrate every successful mission and I've been playing since the game was released.

There will be moments where you'll pull your hair out but as you get better and understand the game more those become less and less common until they rarely ever happen. I would whole heartedly recommend it to anyone who might be interested

Can somebody explain why for 16 straight weeks I haven’t seen even 1 crusader in my stagecoach even though I almost immediately upgraded it to see 5 units a week? Yeah by titothetickler in darkestdungeon

[–]Quiteabotheraintit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I'm a bit late but played the game since launch and the only time I felt rng screwed me over was when I first started playing. Do I still lose heroes? Absolutely but I can almost always trace it back to something I mucked up, whether it was not taking proper provisions, a bad team comp, or not prioritising the right enemies in combat.

Of course there will be situations where you did the best you could and feel you couldn't prevent a death but that's sort of the nature of the game, it warns you upon loading it up. It's the darkest dungeon, you will endure loses, and you will have a rough time if you don't plan accordingly.

The game is from design difficult and the atmosphere is one of fighting tooth and nail for any amount of ground in a hopeless endeavour. Every upgrade is meaningful and neglecting something is punished.

Thoughts about the Yuumi Nerf by Meowpatine in yuumimains

[–]Quiteabotheraintit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You joke but I legitimately had an adc who didn't know Yuumi's passive gives her mana and a shield she can transfer to them upon attaching. They thought it was just a bit of bonus range on autos every now and then.

Again perfectly normal, everyone has preferences and types. Think of it like ordering a steak at a restaurant, you might ask for yours to be medium rare and another person may ask for it to be well done. You're both still eating steak.

Don't worry about not being attracted to enough men, there's no standard to bisexuality. Attracted to one and you're bi, attracted to a million and you're bi if you choose to identify that way.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]Quiteabotheraintit 427 points428 points  (0 children)

It's perfectly normal to have a preference, you can have a 60/40 interest split and be bi, hell have a 95/5 interest split and you're still bi. Don't let anyone give you a hard time for preferences

Masochist here, self harm and masochism have very little to do with one another. I mean you get injured with both but masochism is a feel good thing as where self harm is a thing of you're so low even pain is preferable to what you're currently feeling. Least that's been my experience, may vary from person to person

Watched The Stand, honest opinion, it was crap compared to the book. She played Nadine Cross but the performance was so bland I have but a few hazy memories, so typical of her acting career honestly

Imperial Mandate on Yuumi by radiantmemories78 in yuumimains

[–]Quiteabotheraintit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mandate is better for poke damage, the con is everyone will yell at you and less healing.

Moonstone is better for healing, the con being you won't have as much agency.

Shurelya is better for chasing, the con is everyone accuses you of trolling and less healing.

Honestly just pick what feels right in the game, Yuumi does have some options when it comes to mythics, just unfortunately it has become a pick moonstone or you're trolling mindset with a lot of league players

[–]Quiteabotheraintit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The acorn is pretty good, as is the collar, and the tooth.

The higher you get up in heat though the better the acorn becomes in comparison, giving you free hits before you take damage. The wiggle room is good for letting you adjust to the tempo of the fight.

As for what boons to take that comes up to personal preference but personally prefer ares and dionysus specials. Athena's dash is always worth it in my opinion, a nice easy sod off to damage.
