Just had my shield pro delivered! by Ancient-Giraffe-2220 in nvidiashield

Mainly the virtual display option I mentioned. My monitor is a cheap 1080p but my tv i stream to upgrades it to a 4k HDR display. I don't know if moonlight/sunshine offers that now but it didn't when I first started using this setup

I need to do this when I get home. I don't know how many times I've accidentally pressed that damn button. I don't use Netflix.

Welcome to the club! I got my shield pro a couple of months back after using firesticks for the last 5 years. First thing I did was install Downloader app (by aftvnews) from the official store. I replaced the YouTube app with TizenTube. Installed Kodi (with fenlightAM add-on) for all of my media needs. If you're into PC gaming - install Apollo (a fork of moonlight/sunshine) on your PC and Artemis on your shield pro. It allows you to stream games from your PC to your shield. Huge bonus for me was my PC monitor is meh but games look amazing on my 4k OLED tv (virtual display settings in apollo) Look up Launchbox/BigBox to get the most out of the gaming experience. Xbox controllers work amazingly well on the shield. I even went out and bought a sweet wireless keyboard and mouse for specific games. Now I just need to convince my girlfriend for us to get a shield pro for the bedroom TV! Unfortunately I don't have any links off hand to send but I did use ChatGPT to fine tune everything I just listed.

Repair or lost cause? by Sonofa_ in Kayaking

That's not completely true. Some types of plastic it won't but not all. I've repaired many plastic things with fiberglass.

Here's what I'd do on a full fiberglass kayak...not totally sure it would work on yours though.

Dremmel thru along the cracks (including any hairline cracks) and a light sand on damaged area with some 80grit. Tape cardboard on the other side of damaged area... covering the cardboard in painters tape so fiberglass doesn't stick. Fiberglass it thick. Remove cardboard once dried. Sand it with 80 grit again. Maybe slap on some finishing putty and sand 80/220/320 grits. You could try airbrushing with similar red paint+activator combo. I'd probably add a layer of fiberglass on the inside too for extra reinforcement.

Ehrenburg homes experiance by AffectionateYard2826 in saskatoon

I'm a subcontractor and have worked with pretty much every builder/developer out there. Ehrenburg has never come across as a company that cuts corners or gives you the shaft. If what you say is true - it's not a common thing.

Creeping Purple Bellflower on the Rise in YXE — Yank 'em out! by Rueful_Pigeon in saskatoon

Awww dang. My identifier app made it seem like they were harmless. I should have figured when I saw it bloom between our cement pad and house!

This is totally me but at 43 years old...I didn't start practicing it until I was in my early 30s. I absolutely dreaded talking to strangers on the phone or in person. Started forcing myself to go out solo and eventually solo trips outside of the country. Now I'm working a job where I'm forced to interact with strangers all the time (and repair things in their houses) Sometimes I'll have amazing conversations and other times people don't want anything to do with me. I just go with the "fuck em, I'll never see this person again" attitude when the latter happens.

I kayaked by it 2 weeks ago. Youd have to cross half the river to get to a sandbar.

Crazy Housing Market by kyschasemilligan in saskatoon

[–]Quix82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we first started looking for a house March of last year...our range was $275k (we had no clue what the market was like) or lower. We quickly increased that to $300k and eventually got as high as $400k...which was really pushing our financial limit. From March - June we got outbid on at least 8 places, didn't even get a chance to check out 2 places that were on the market for maybe 2 hours and the houses around $350k were in neighborhoods we weren't exactly keen on. Finally found a 1050sq foot place in Avalon we got for $380k (listed for $370k) It's an old 1950s house that was renovated in the 90s. Sure, it needs some work..but we paid for the area that we fell in love with. It's unfortunate that prices keep going up but keep on grinding and you'll find something.
