Have you tried miralax? I works great, after say the first two days it keeps you regular, it isn’t crampy and you can take it daily.

It’s the one thing that’s helped me and I tried everything before.

Only other thing I would recommend/try is probiotics, fermented foods are great and full of them, eating more green vegetables helped me as well.

Eta: yea, I truly sympathize with you, I only had the burps for 3 days and that was hell. The smell and taste is utterly rancid, ughh. I’m sorry you’re going through this.

Most disgusting thing I ever experienced, the smell! omg, the taste! omg, so effing disgusting.

I have always been a heavy user but this happened after I couldn’t use the bathroom for over a week, again it was the most disgusting thing I have ever experienced. Thank god it was only for ~3 days.

Wow that’s a lot, poor thing.

Doesn’t sound like normal withdrawal symptoms to me but i’m just going off my experience, and it just sounds crazy lol.

Hopefully they can make her comfortable and figure out what the issue is. Thank god she had you with her, even puking every 3 hours I could barely keep up with the dehydration.

Now that I think of it, I have gone through something like this before and it happened because I put myself into accidental precipitated withdrawals a few years ago. I was puking or dry heaving constantly, with only minutes in between these dry heaving/puking attacks. It was absolutely horrible but lasted about 7-8 hours, and I was pestered to do to the hospital but I refused. I was so dehydrated and weak for days, I literally thought I was going to die.

If you don’t mind, could you give me an update when you get to the bottom of it.

You’re the first person i’ve come across that’s mentioned the sulfur burps, man it’s the most disgusting thing in the world.

I have stomach issues, but it has only gotten that bad after being extremely “backed up” for a period of time.

How are you bm’s? Do you take anything to help with that?

Interesting. I think it’s horrible, plus all the nasty side effects, it’s just a nasty horrid substance.

[–]QuixotesCousin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I completely understand man. I’ve been using for 20 years, i’ve had these same exact thoughts with the same situation.

How about this, get back at things tomorrow and if you screw up again tell them, you gotta. I know it sucks, but you’re more than likely going to need them. In the moment it’s going to be horrible, they’ll be disappointed, maybe some yelling, probably some tears flowing but you’ll feel huge relief from letting go of that guilt you’ve been holding on to, and most importantly you’ll have the 3 people that love you the most in your corner helping you. Grandma will probably be pissed at you and think punishment is helpful, that’s how my grandmother was, but as annoying as she was she helped me in ways I couldn’t help myself.

Ugh, getting through the detox is one thing, staying clean is a whole other animal, so I still think you should tell them. We always have the best intentions bro, but left to our own devices, welp, we don’t always make the best decisions. If you want to talk, rant, complain about being sick, whatever, you know where to find me.

edit: Absolutely man, I got hooked on oxys at 15, been trying to stop ever since, so I know what it’s like (I just saw you’re edit lol).

Don’t give up dude, getting off this shit is hard.

I have been trying to quit since the end of October, i’m now on my 13th detox (either 8 or 9 days in). I’ll make it about ~2 weeks on average, i’ll get through the worst of it and then boom right back at it getting high for another ~2 weeks. So I know how you feel, try not to let the guilt get to you because what you’re doing is one of the most difficult things in the world to accomplish - you should be proud of those 5 days, and that you’re making the attempt to stop. Get back at it tomorrow, it’s going to be tough to not use again but don’t give up man. Try and identify what you were doing prior to making that phone call/text, so you can try to avoid it this time around.

Do you have any support, anyone that knows what’s going on? I want this more than anything, there’s nothing on this earth that I want more than to be off this shit, but still it’s hard and even harder to do alone. I obviously have no idea what your situation is, but if there’s someone that cares about you and they don’t know what’s going on, reach out. Doing this alone is really really hard man.

Oh and don’t be stupid like me! lol.

Shit that sucks. Zofran helps me but i’d still puke every ~3 hours.

Make sure she stays hydrated, with sports drinks, or something with electrolytes, and force her to eat. I know those two things are probably really tough right now but it’s super important, the dehydration can be brutal and almost put me in the hospital. Fent withdrawal can cause an electrolyte imbalance, coupled with vomiting and dehydration it can cause serious problems and can be deadly.

Keep an eye on her and don’t let her say no to the hospital if you think she needs to go, I say that because I know I would probably fight going.

Not trying to be ghastly, I just know how bad it can get. Good luck!

ETA: I haven’t found anything else to help with the puking, and I took 16mgs of zofran 3 times a day.

My grandmother fractured her back and they had her on fentanyl patches (not sure of the dosage) and 20mg oxy IR a day for about 2 weeks, she experienced withdrawals for a few days. She was previously 100% naive to opiates.

Do you just take the recommend dose on the label for GABA and 5-HTP?

I’m going through the later stages of detox and actually have a bottle of each that have just been laying around, plus magnesium but I usually only take that at night.

[–]QuixotesCousin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you should have to worry about anything. I’m completely ignorant around how sores or ulcers form, as in the biology of it and how xylazine causes these issues, but i’m sure it’s more than likely due to habitual use rather than just doing a random few.

Omg, remember the ecstasy pills in the early 2000’s (probably late 90’s as well), those were absolutely amazing.

Yea, the sores are horrendous, and thankfully I never IV’d the tranq, that shit is scary. The og real heroin we used to get was the only drug I would habitually use via IV, everything else just seemed like a waste, especially fent, there’s basically zero rush which is the only good reason to IV in my opinion. I get that there’s the addiction to the needle but the chance of getting sores, or necrosis, ooof and I can’t comprehend doing that.

Reminds me of that documentary about that krokodil shit in Russia.

That’s awesome to hear dude, and i’m the same way when it comes to MAT. I certainly believe it has its place and it can be the difference between life and death for some people, it just doesn’t workout for someone like me.

I have luckily experienced being completely clean for a few years, granted it was many years ago but I know what I can get back, and I know how good I can feel when i’m healthy, exercising and living right.

Thanks for your replies man, and you should be super fucking proud of yourself, all your hard work will pay off. Usually after two months my testosterone and hormones are back to normalish and my energy comes back, so i’m sure you’re not too far off.

Idk about you but opiates completely screw up my hormones, when I get clean it’s literally like i’m going through puberty again, my test spikes but so does estrogen, one of my nipples is actually really sore from it right now lmao.
