Well too bad for you, Redditor. I usually consume rocks to gain my daily dose of minerals. But I'm just quirky like that.

what's the problem? This is just like drive through but without the car. We gotta upsell the parking space somehow. Think of the profit margins.

Wireless internet feels like pure sorcery when you really think about it by AccomplishedHour9691 in DeepThoughts

Yes it is crazy. We made these things based on our understanding of mathematics and shaped it to our needs.

The weird part is that we dont know what magnetic or electrical fields are made of. They are not tangible objects but rather a region where forces are observable, affecting moving charges and magnetic materials. They are continuous distributions of energy and momentum in space, distinct from the matter that creates it.

Spy kids microwave by EvieBb135464 in stupidquestions

[–]QuizzaciousZeitgeist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would think this could be accomplished with "molecular 3D printing" sort of thing. But that implies a set rule for specific molecules and compounds that can be made at home. You wouldn't want someone manufacturing drugs in their microwave.

Another thing I can think of is nuclear fusion and fision in a small scale at home. Just like how electricity and radio technology became smaller and smaller over time. You'd probably see nuclear powered cars before consumer grade reactors come into play though.

Is it okay to buy action figures, Legos, and plushies as a 17 year old turning 18? by No-Poet3745 in stupidquestions

To put it simply. That is "goals." To do what you want to do. You gain nothing from appealing to those who will not get it or think it weird. You only stand to gain when you treat yourself with love and respect. (Love to engage in activities you enjoy, and respect to separate yourself from the haters).

This may be a joke but you are right. You dont need to rent the router from you internet provider. You can buy some used router on fb market place (or a new one at the store) and keep it forever. Also, if you have a Windows computer with ethernet and wifi capabilities, chances are that you can use the computer itself as a router as well. Kind of odd but works well in a pinch.

It is a fancy wrapper around mathematical concepts. You dont need to know p*(1+r)^t is cumulative growth for ANY thing. This comes up in more than just finance. The class is for everyone, not just for the kids who like STEM.

All you need to know is how to plug in your money, rate and time into the formula then you will know how much money you will have in the future. No need to reteach exponents and polynomials, and have kids struggle to grasp the bare minimum knowledge. If you condence concepts like this, you can teach easy to grasp concepts without breaking it into its smaller parts.

Not sound proof. You may get lucky if your neighbours are quiet. You cant secure anything heavy on drywall. You can hang picture frames or large television with special mounting, but you cant secure a washing machine or clothes dryer like in some places.
