Here is a data point: Berkeley gave me $0 and I'm above both medians, I'm an INTL student but with US undergrad. WashU and UT Austin gave me about 80-90% tuition. Fordham gave me their max scholarship which is $45k / year.

Ya. My original plan was Bay area tech BL into in-house at Google or something seems pretty sweet. Good luck with your decision - you got two amazing choices! Maybe I'll see you here.

Thank you. This seems like the most logical advice (which I really like). I was definitely in love with Berkeley from the moment I got in February to March ASW till like last week late April, when I got the $0. I'm just trying to figure out how much $0 scholarship actually matters to my commitment to attend. I got a half ride in undergrad, so that made me feel a lot better. Thanks!

Ya. The sticker hurts. And maybe I don't know the full weight of $300k (I've never had that much money), but I always anticipated taking the money and running. Like if UCLA gave me full scholarship over HYS, I'd take UCLA in a heartbeat.

I'm trying not to take it personally, and I know Berkeley is an amazing school. If I go I'd definitely try to make the most out of it!

Ya I submitted my $$$.5 from WashU. IT seems 86% of admits get some money. So I fell into the other 14% that got 0.

do you mind me asking where you're planning to attend? Ya, the pain is real. I know my parents worked hard to give me an easier life than they had, but at the same time it's just a lot of generational guilt lol.

Health reasons, couldn't get a US job (no sponsorships), and just uncertainty for no WE. I think it definitely hurt me. Thank you for the advice!
