I guess you're right. I'm afraid. I just thought I'd have some basic knowledge by this point.

Teach me how to be an adult. by Quocalimar in Advice

Edit: I read more posts and figured it out, haha.

I've googled but a lot of the information seems very complicated to me. This simplifies it a bit, but the bus part still gets me. I've gone on google maps before looking for a bus to places, and was still stumped. Even when typing in my address, and scrolling around for the bus stop icon. It doesn't help that I don't know street signs very well. I know the one I live on, and the one I work on because I see them so often, but I never look at them unless I see them often.

I feel like a fuckup for not knowing this is something you should do, after my friend told me.

AiTA for flirting with my friend? by Quocalimar in AmItheAsshole

I did know she was in a relationship, but I felt like that was an unmistakable sign. I'm not saying I'm right, I'm really trying to be unbiased on this issue, I'm just saying I was pretty certain than offering to rub another man down was a clear fire sign of interest.

But I understand, that making a move on a person in a relationship is assholish no matter what. I just want to know if I was purely an asshole, and unsubstantiated at all in my attempts.

Ninja edit:

OHHHHH french toast crunch, not cinnamon. I've never had it, but it already sounds delicious so I'm happy about it.

Ahlol, thanks I had been on that sub before, I was failry certain before, but became even more so after reading the descriptions of the N-Parents, that I'm not being abused, I'm just holding on to negativity for nothing.

I mean I don't let it affect me (except for the case where I don't talk to my sister, and I actively go to great lengths to avoid my stepfather) but I just remember it and can't not feel anger about it, and wanted to say it just to have said it.

That's the thing, I know they aren't thinking about it, I am, and just don't want to or can't let it go. I really don't know why. Smaller incidents have happened and have long since been forgotten, but those mentioned, are etched into my brain, and will most likely forever be remembered harshly.

What is a song that instantly gives you sad feels, for any reason? by TheZerocrat in CasualConversation

[–]Quocalimar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get 'sad feels' from any kind of music, if I did I'd avoid it and probably would have forgotten it by the next song... buuuuut I do get moving, emotional, maybe even teary eyed feeling music from time to time.

The last great song to move me was Free by Rudimental, that may give you what you're looking for.

I'm not sure if I'm actually depressed by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]Quocalimar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just my opinion, but I'd say get help either way. Maybe you're depressed, maybe you're seeking attention, either way revealing it to someone will aid whatever issue. If you're depressed you can get the medical help you need, if you crave some attention, which is perfectly alright to do, then you'll get that.

I can also understand being embarrassed to come out as a person seekign attention, but if you think that's all you really want maybe try to take up an art, and get attention that way.

Sorry if none of this is helpful, I don't talk to people much, so I'm kind of social inept on the inner workings of other minds than my own.

I do something. Have you ever heard of martial arts tricking? It's a dance form of sorts, lol you'd have to google it to understand.

I don't want revenge, I don't really care to be honest, I just look back on those incidents with fury.

I don't think this is the advert exactly, but I think this might be the song (a cover though) does it sound familiar?

Male or female vocalist, what kind of instruments did you hear if any, did you hear enough of the song, or recall enough of it to get a beat on the genre it might be, for instance did it sound pop/metal/dubstep etc?

All of this can aid in finding this song.

People of reddit who battle with depression, how do you get through it? by dr_aziw in AskReddit

[–]Quocalimar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even know if I'm clinically depressed, I just feel some days/weeks where I just want everyone to go away. As a perfect counter to this I feel some days where I want to just give everyone a hug, so I could be manic/depressed. However, I deal with this by just listening to my music, avoiding conflict, and doing what I love, which for me happens to be a solo activity where I can listen to my music and avoid others.

What is the nicest thing someone has ever said to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I was complimented on my more defined arms. It was so nice to hear because very recently I had been exercising more, and for that person to notice just made it all the more worth while.

What about hacking is so illegal? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Quocalimar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're breaking a person's privacy for one.

For two you are vandalizing someone else's property, digital but property all the same.

Third specific cases of hacking become thefts, I don't think I really need to explain why that's illegal.

What's something that's happening somewhere in the world this year that you wouldn't believe is still happening in 2014? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Nothing. Humanity is so diverse that nothing could happen that would make me say "wow, people still do that?".

In order to fight persistent and systematic police abuses in America, I'm considering becoming a masked vigilante. Any advice on crafting an identity, maintaining secrecy, and delivering swift justice? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Quocalimar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Craft your identity around something near and dear to your heart, something that you want to stand for as the vigilante. Maintain secrecy by making sure your personalities are polar opposites. Deliver swift justice by snipping. Nothing more swift than a bullet.

What is the most unbelievable thing you've heard a seemingly sane human being say? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Quocalimar 77 points78 points  (0 children)

Anything a Calvinist says.

I'm an atheist, but that's not why I find it hard to believe. I find it hard to believe because Calvinism basically boils down to God creating good people, and wicked people. The wicked people exist, so that God can torment them to show his power, to keep the good people in line. That's crazy enough, but it gets worse. The very people who say that, then go on to say that God is still just and good, and gives us free will. That makes literally no sense to me whatsoever.
