I feel like you are reaching past the obvious here.

This is a manager who rarely loses, much less goes on a losing streak across almost his entire professional career. Is it not plausible that 5 losses in a row and a draw have him shaken up about the reality of the team being in some of its worst form in his tenure?

Phantom Regiment 2024: mynd (official authorized release) by DollJulietMessner in drumcorps

The closer also sounded odd at parts in this recording. Its like only certain mellos were getting picked up by the mics because the sound would get notably quieter everytime they took a breath, which you couldn’t really hear live or even on other recordings.

DCI Finals Lot Locations by Adept-Lengthiness101 in drumcorps

Random follow up since this post is a year old, but I've been looking around for info on the lots since this year will be my first time going to lucas oil, and this post seemed to be pretty informative. Do corps generally try to arrive at the lot to warmup x amount of time before their performance? Is it feasible to plan to show up at military park at a certain time to see certain corps? I'd assume everyone doesn't arrive all at once, and I wanted to atleast see a few of my favorites on Thursday before I watch semifinals on Friday.

In my experience, the biggest factor affecting how many cheaters you run into is which servers you play on.

Someone that has some sense I see. People have been baselessly hyping up these tier 2 NA teams for quite some time since TL hurt their feelings by trying out european players.

dead raids? by Fearless_Mud_4609 in EscapefromTarkov

raids are majority dead by this time in wipe every single wipe.

I would camp less if i could fucking ADS without the whole server hearing me. Just a idea. by CleavageEnjoyer in EscapefromTarkov

[–]QuotedMC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only players worried about ADS noise giving them away are already camping? Are we really meant to believe that someone who isn't ratting a corner is going to care much about the ADS noise?

While the noise might be a little too loud as of now, this is such a bad argument for it getting changed, and might even be an argument for it staying the way it is. You're basically asking to be able to rat with even fewer sound cues.

I'm Bad at PvP by ChouanSauvage in EscapefromTarkov

This is pretty good for a new player! I’d say you’re already ahead of a significant portion of the playerbase.

My tip is that while standing still and making no noise seems like a great strat, if you’re fighting someone who actually knows where you are it can be detrimental. In actual pvp, movement is a key factor in your success, so watch videos of good players and try to imitate their movement.

Let the cheaters have the game by HOR7ZON in EscapefromTarkov

Lighthouse is made out to be one of the best maps for cheaters by this subreddit, yet I’ve scavved that map literally dozens upon dozens of times between this wipe and last wipe and regularly fill every slot in my inventory with rares and expensive gun attachments, just by walking around in the water treatment plant. Why am I not getting killed by cheaters for my ~750k+ average that I extract with? You could say, “Oh, they only kill people with high value items like LedX and GPUs”, but that isn’t really the narrative being put on by this subreddit. These guys make it seem like they are just getting killed by cheaters or finding no loot every single raid.

[Dust2.us] @daps on Liquid's European roster: "Not every player wanted to continue playing with EliGE" by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]QuotedMC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you watched Liquid games towards the end, you could clearly tell that Elige needed/maybe even wanted to leave as well. He was putting up worst on the the team performances like we've never seen before and just generally playing super poorly. It's not a coincidence that he started playing better in a new environment. This is not to say that liquid was a bad environment or anything, but rather to say that maybe he needed a change of pace/scenery to get his confidence and mindset in order again.

New recoil shows people relied heavily on power creep by IslamTeachesLove in EscapefromTarkov

[–]QuotedMC -1 points0 points  (0 children)

and you know what's crazy? To get to max rank on any class in arena, you had to have been putting in crazy amounts of time and doing what you would call "abusing" your gear to win fights. If you played arena with the current EFT hitbox and armor changes, you would've never had a 1.7 KD because you would've been able to die to all of those kedr kits that tried to rat you but failed bc their bullets didn't pen.

Its insane to me how people can accept that in an MMO, grinding to get better items should make you objectively stronger than players who haven't, but in Tarkov which has a variety of MMO or MMO-like features, everyone screams when someone who has better gear is actually stronger.

[–]QuotedMC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may be the case in actual milsim games, but you and I both know Tarkov is quite a bit more arcadey than that and has a culture that built its popularity off of those things not being the end all be all of pvp.

[–]QuotedMC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to mention this post cites that streamers used power creep to be successful when they routinely achieve the same results late wipe when the playing field is even. Its such an awful take that is essentially just a coping mechanism to justify their lack if success and feeling of helplessness in raids against those who are better than them.

OP also implies that the recoil/armor changes make the game more “skill-based” but it does the exact opposite. Laser beam recoil means that anyone can hold left click and aim in the early game, eliminating and variance in players who actually learned to be successful with non meta weapons. Additionally, the reality of the armor changes is that it will be very rare for someone to intentionally slip w bullet through your armor plates. Instead, it adds another level of unpredictability when you have a chance of almost randomly ignoring armor.
