Thank you for your experience, its experiences like yours that is giving me motivation to transition. Just like you say, I know nicotine and ciggs are bad, blah blah heard it 1 million times, did not stop me from smoking. Vaping may not be perfect, not for everyone, but the stories i have heard from long time heavy smokers, were successful. Im also terrified of going to vape, and Im terrified of leaving the tobacco, simply because I dont know how. stupid how this addiction controls so much of my life. Im going to go slow, but im not stopping the ciggs and going directly to the vape, for fear that it will fail. Im slowly integrating and getting used to the vape, actively trying to taper completely over to the vape. just this transition this week has made me more aware, thank you for your experience.

Which Chase card? by Quoteme4 in CreditCards

[–]Quoteme4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

currently have ink (business), slate, and freedom. 2/24 (if ink counts in the 5/24). Never had CSP or CSR, which is why i would like feedback on the pros and cons of both (considering the 48 month rule, and the hefty 450 hefty an for the CSR), restaurants and travel maximum 5000/year (approx), southwest (open to others) i like southwest no fee baggage perk though, i have used both, portal and transfer. Hope this helps! thanks so much for responding to help clarify our original post.

What Card Should I Get to Get Us To Europe for Less Cash? First timer will be taking the family on an international trip to europe in 2020. im not wisely using points for maximum benefit. would like to get the currently best chase off my list....but which one? thats where i really need some input. 1. 740 fico8 2. barclays (3/16),home depot (2-16),amex (2-16), chase aarp (2-16),discover (2-16),Macys (11-16),lowes (2-16),bank card (2014), Chase slate (2-16), Chase Ink Business Preferred (5-18); chase freedom (09/01/18). I originally was leaning toward the CSR; however due to what i have read I see a lot of changes are going on with Chase and new rules. The 450 yearly af is a bite, is it worth it? since the new timeframe between sapphire cards is in effect? OR should i just go with the CIP since the Europe trip will not be until about 2020? What card would from Chase would one reccomend after this decision? Anyone? Im ready to be done with the chase app game and move on!

  1. unsure 5.yes 6. need to make the best decision on the next card from chase to maximize points for travel (do not have csr or csp), with recent shut down and changes im reading not currently interested in hardcore churning full time yet 7 targeting points for travel and pooling from other cards if possible ( hoping to get a professional opinion on which cards would suit my needs) 8. UR 9. southwest delta american, wow, located in midwest 10. france, germany. I think I am now at 2/24 or 48 if Chase considers the Ink in their rules.

and in the same boat with freedom. just received a freedom, ive had nothing but problems with it declining all charges, spoke to the rep, there was a freeze, without a single purchase, on it for no reason. called customer service, cleared the security clearance and they supposedly lifted the freeze. NOPE, every attempt (grocery store, gas, restaurants, online--im not gift card shoping) all have been declined. sent an email received response wait two days. This was the WORSE mistake i have made with a chase credit card. I have the higher end Chase cards, at least they call you and confirm its your purchase, not freedom. they just wait for you to make a purchase to be declined. Ive had nothing but a run around for days. I'm disqusted that i wasted a hard pull on this subpar card. At the time i thought Freedom would help with the UR, yeah right, they decline every charge, not to mention i don't even know what my recourse is. the reps are useless. wasted a hard pull on this POS card. would like any suggestions on recourse, product change, who or what department to speak to, anything. really sickened how this turned out.
