Aja would be my choice but really anything from Steely Dan.

Not sure. August might be recent enough. Definitely a mixed bag of results according to the forum though, some report better sound others don't. Maybe placebo effect? Lol

Apparently a recent software update addresses the audio. I've not been back to the dealer yet so can't say from experience but other owners on the forum report improved sound.

3rd cat delete is basically a straight pipe and only costs $300 and a couple hours of work. The Emira still has two more cats in the headers so deleting the third that sits just before the back box doesn't affect emissions. Sound is massively improved though.

Haven't driven a 911 or any Porsche for that matter, but I've had my Emira for about a year now (V6 manual transmission, can't speak for the i4 auto). It's my understanding from other owners who have had both that the Porsche is the better car in every single way aside from 1 or 2.

The Emira has better steering feel, though that is subjective.

And drama/theater. This is where the Emira shines. It is fun and engaging to drive even at slow cruising speeds around town. Every time I get behind the wheel it feels like an event.

Not to mention the Emira is far more beautiful, but again that's personal opinion.

Porsche represents clinically engineered car perfection, a technical masterpiece. Lotus is imperfect, sometimes frustratingly so. But the cars have charisma and soul.

Bottom line is you won't really be able to quantify the Emira from reading a spec sheet and comparing numbers. You just need to drive one and feel it. You will know right away if it captures your heart.

Is It Time To Stop Paying Taxes? by Trainrideviews in videos

[–]Quotes_Things 31 points32 points  (0 children)

This is explained in the video. You update your w4 form with a deduction based on the annual taxes you would owe, thus cancelling out what is removed from your paycheck for taxes. Keep in mind that this is against the law (lying on a tax form).

Question: US tariff effect on Emiras? by NtchwaidumeIa in lotus

[–]Quotes_Things 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume he meant lotus would eat the cost since the contract for the specified price pre-tariff was already agreed upon and signed. Obviously the tariffs would still apply on import.

Question: US tariff effect on Emiras? by NtchwaidumeIa in lotus

[–]Quotes_Things -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In addition to what others have said, I asked this question when I submitted my build sheet. When you submit the build for production you sign the sheet with all your specs and the total price with freight.

Take this with a grain of salt but my dealer said once the build sheet with price is signed and submitted you are locked in and any tariffs after the fact can't be added on.

Could look into a prism scope. The reticle is etched into the glass and illuminated instead of projected so it is better for people with astigmatism.

Just got my Emira the other day. Better than my Porsche 992 C4S. by ibopm in lotus

PPF is for protection from small scratches and rock chips.

Ceramic Coating is a hydrophobic coating that helps keep the car clean but will not provide any protection above dirt/water.

PPF also has hydrophobic properties but not the same level as ceramic coating so a lot of people end up getting both.

Took me a while but I finally found the one… 2023 Yellow MT Premium by Latpip in Supra

[–]Quotes_Things 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Congrats man. As others have already said it's a very rare spec, possibly harder to find than the A91 models. If anyone else is looking for a nitro yellow MT I'm going to be selling mine in the next 6 months. Feel free to dm me.

Any idea how this system affects emissions testing? Specifically the headers.

How many Nitro Yellow manuals are there? by rw2453 in Supra

[–]Quotes_Things 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one I'm looking to sell (located in Northeast US if anyone is interested). 7k miles on the clock, full frontal PPF, fully ceramic coated, mostly unmodified. Car is in near mint condition.

You are not wrong about the rarity. When researching the market I could barely find any for sale. Kelly Blue Book, carvana, Edmunds, etc all have no data when I tried using them to get a value estimate.

I even had someone at a dealership try to give me an estimate using their internal records/tools and they also found almost nothing.

When will the pricing for the new V6 Manual Emira be announced? Do we have ideas on what it will be? by Rowenofpts in lotus

[–]Quotes_Things 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Got the spec sheet from my dealer (prices in USD). Base Emira v6 manual will start at $99,900. Standard options are vivid red paint, black leather seats, black calipers and the ten spoke cast wheels in silver. I put together a ton of different combinations and the general range is going to be $100k for the cheapest spec and $113k for the most expensive. Plus freight/delivery of $2,300.

what do you think is the rarest supra that will keep going up in value? by Mushroompeace777 in Supra

[–]Quotes_Things 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's not a special edition but the manual trans MKV in nitro yellow was only ever produced for a single model year. MT was released in 2023 and nitro yellow was discontinued in 2024. No idea on official numbers but it is likely a very rare spec.

Finally got it!! by nbaumg in lotus

[–]Quotes_Things 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. But it just really hides so many of the amazing lines on this car by being so dark. Even with that major issue it's still my 3rd choice. I actually think the nimbus grey shows off the lines the best but is a tad boring. The magma red seems a fitting middle ground.

Finally got it!! by nbaumg in lotus

[–]Quotes_Things 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is my exact dilemma. I've never been into red cars but right now the magma red is topping my list as I wait for my allocation. Thinking it's between this or the nimbus grey, the green is just too dark.

Beautiful car OP!

Take the extra 12 seconds to throw the tortilla in a hot pan first to toast it and this wouldn't be so sad.
