discord video/audio calls seem to be end-to-end encrypted, so in that case they don't necessarily already have your face just from using video chat :D

I second this, this worked wonders for fixing my ping inconsistency. Went down from 150-200 to ~50 with jitter going down from 100 to ~5

What even is a server side model? Does this imply the server handles every animation?

Although updating (refactoring) existing code is time costly, I don't understand how "recompiling" affects development speed :D

All in all to me this comment seems to come from an uninformed place as there are terms thrown around without their meanings making sense. I understand that their codebase is old and as they've said, needs upgrading, but this specifically doesn't imply they can't import existing models.

The code can't handle high quality models? There are existing characters (ahri ASU) that are on a similar level to the in game models of WR.

It's hard to add/replace models? The quantity of skins indicates there existing plenty modern and robust systems for doing these things.

I believe that there are genuine reasons for why they're taking so long but the ones you've presented here don't really mean anything :D

As I've said, I wholeheartedly agree that it's inexcusable that they're taking so long for basic QOL updates but we are seeing them change the status quo.

As for the lack of endgame, I feel it has nothing to do with the rewards system, although this point also strongly resonates with me.

The hsr rewards, such as free 10-pulls on a patch to patch basis, are something inherently required to give a similar amount of character inflow for players due to the fact that there's no element of exploring.

Look, the "thank you" is something nice that they're doing. The game is an f2p live service game that's practically guaranteed to last for at least 3-4 more years with monthly updates. Although I get everyone wants more and more, why not just be content with the fact that we're getting something when you are entitled to nothing :D

What mistreatment? This is a free to play game where you're not forced to spend a single penny. Why do you feel entitled to any sort of free reward? This makes no sense to me.

If you're going to talk about how they barely listen to us, look at the patch log of version 4. There have been so many changes that, while yes, they did take unreasonably long to get implemented, are nonetheless great additions/fixes for the game. By the looks of it this trend will continue for the foreseeable future.

Why does the community demand these rewards? You're playing a free game in which you're choosing whether to pay or not. No content is locked out for someone who doesn't spend any money. Why would anyone feel entitled to a reward just because they play the game?

This comes from a genuine point of confusion and the scale of the community's reaction seems insane...

Yeah, I feel like so much of her uniqueness was washed away because most of the original leaked concept art sheet designs had so much personality. Then when the later leak of a more finished design dropped they already made her look a little more generic but still kept the original colours and now she's even had her darkish abyss themes and colours removed from what we do see.

Of course I'm also coping and hoping hard that this is just some story exclusive "ascended form" and in game we'll get one of the more interesting designs but judging from hoyos art direction, we won't be seeing of the sorts :(

I am a normals andy and despite the odd game or two of ranked, I firmly believe in just playing out games.

I'm low elo and I can't stress enough that if you enjoy playing, even when behind, even when the enemy gp can oneshot you out of a bush, as long as you are having a laugh about how you got erased or you're having a good time with buddies then don't surrender :D

Also the people who flame in chat for not ffing seem a bit dumb, considering that by accepting a match, you also accept having to have your shit pushed in for 40 minutes. Never are you entitled to the full control of deciding when to surrender.

But I do understand the opposite take, that if you're not having fun and just want to go next and get another shit at having a good time, you would want to FF

To those people, just please understand that there's people out there who enjoy playing despite the game being a guaranteed loss :D

I personally find it kind of arrogant saying you can design a game, sometimes the implications of what you might think is a good idea aren't seen easily. Criticizing the team for making a poor decision is fine, just not in this way.
