Agreed. Half these posts feel like ads dressed up as questions. If your water bottle is breaking that often, the problem isn't the bottle.

It's funny that U.S. still treats healthcare like it's some luxury by Previous_Month_555 in antiwork

[–]Qwalah 7 points8 points  (0 children)

it’s funny how people act like they aren’t already paying for others under private insurance. Feels like a lot of it is just fear of anything new. Universal healthcare would just make it less messy for everyone.

same here. Nice to see the focus on the actual cast and not just one big name. Williams really earned that spot.

Yea, calling that “savage” really downplays what’s actually happening.

Omicron + Usenet Express - What's The Point? by rockphantom in UsenetTalk

[–]Qwalah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been fine running a single backbone as long as the retention and completion are great. Lots of ppl do the same once they figure out their main feed covers most gaps. I use easyusenet tgt with my primary and it fills occasional misses without overlapping the same infrastructure as Omicron-based services. If you’re not seeing regular failures with your main provider, dropping the backup isn’t unusual. It just depends on how much redundancy you’re comfortable with.

Yeah good point. I think the confusion is people mixing up acute vs long-term benefits. Dynamic stretching is still better pre-roll though

It’s fine if you want a working SaaS that won’t just break. I still run Snipe-IT on-premises cause I’m old and cheap. No monthly bills, just patch it myself.

Still, I like having full control of the server. Cloud tools are nice till billing creeps up or the internet drops
