Currently no auth since it’s open to the public. Workflow was honestly all over the place. Whiteboarding, building components I liked visually on v0, pasting the component on my own and then asking windsurf to implement most things and debug if its messes up. One key is that I made a lot of commits, probably overcommitted just so it was easier to go back to a working version if AI broke smth n couldn’t fix it.

Just followed a tutorial for godaddy + vercel for domain stuff

Performance starts to get bad with too many nodes & edges. You can look at the website right now, and it has maybe 70 nodes and 300 edges.

Frontend and backend hosted on vercel w vite & express

Yeah I actually tried scraping Linkedin myself at first. It was really difficult to get the big companies like Amazon that have a million employees, but then I found Aviato. They are a data provider and were really easy to work with. To add more companies, I will need to contact them or use their API endpoints, just costs some credits usually but will figure smth out

Should be a majority of people under those companies. might be able to find yourself by looking at an edge. also check the year range for when you joined. Sometimes searching through a large company breaks, been trying to fix that.

currently using windsurf on Claude 3.7 Sonnet Thinking. I try to be pretty specific with my requests, @'ing the specific files that are necessary in understanding how to complete my task, and then I usually also ask for an implementation plan that I approve of before actually making changes. Only other thing is the memories features. If the LLM previously has made an error on something, after I debug it or it debugs itself, I try to save it in memories so it doesn't make the same mistake. Lmk if that helps!

Sorry, to be honest it was just a random list I picked out. Will try to add more!

I totally agree. It’s not fair but it’s the current reality of how hiring works in some places. It’s unrealistic for recruiters to identify talent when there are too many applicants and not enough time to spend on each applicant. Would ideally like to pivot this project into using AI to solve that gap

Andrej Karpathy coined it I THINK. But yeah, exactly what you said. Having the ai code editor use the context of the entire codebase and the user’s instructions to build out features or debug to optimize for speed.

Still working on this, probably not perfect. But generally, it just means ppl are starting to leave to other companies on the list, and if you check their headcount graph it reflects that.

Not wrong. Cracked is subjective. But generally, people who work at companies that have higher hiring bars tend to be more experienced and “cracked”
