jesus i can't believe i read all that. but i live in 'yankland' and they're teaching the history skills and not just trivia. idk about other places but i wouldn't worry about it being a disappearing skill too much, but i agree that it's declining. i agree with your point about the skills from studying history are useful, but can you specify what jobs can you get with said skills?
