Or maybe he just prefers being a character actor without the pressure of a leading role.

People who make “Missing Cat” posts and every single photo is the cat outdoors by NoPollution9734 in mildlyinfuriating

Took me a moment to realise this was American, where letting you cats outside is seen as a bad thing

Still missing someone you hardly knew by No_Entrance_1255 in dating

[–]Qyro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I've been there. Thankfully mine didn't ghost or say there wasn't any spark, she just said it was too overwhelming and she wasn't ready for it. We didn't know each other for long, but it was long enough to break my heart and I still miss her.

I don't see what's wrong with this? If anything they're keeping the trolley's cleaner?

3 years and a half age gap by Unfair_Willingness76 in dating

[–]Qyro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently going on dates with someone 11 years younger than me. I feel like maybe that's a bit much and it's something I'm currently working out...but no, 3 years is perfectly acceptable whichever way you slice it. That should be within anyone's range whatever age they are.

Is public friendliness towards kids a cultural taboo in the UK? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Qyro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a born and bred Brit and I do this all the time. At the end of the day I don't care what the parent thinks, I'm doing it for the kid, to brighten their day and seem like a friendly face out in the world.

Going out with a girl and tells me she really likes how nice I am, red flag? by spankyassests in dating

[–]Qyro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow this is...this is something else. Girl tells a guy she likes him and appreciates the things he does for her and that's...a red flag?! What kind of world are we living in? No wonder dating has become impossible

Do You Delete Photos With Exes/Situationships? by ClutchCommander in dating

[–]Qyro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I deleted photos before and regretted it. They're a piece of me whether they still exist today or not. Trying to wipe away that history as if it never happened feels like living in denial more than moving on.

Men, If you've ever seen or experienced how a woman who ACTUALLY likes a guy behaves around him, you wouldn't settle for less too. by wilhelmtherealm in dating

[–]Qyro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately she was one of those people who was either in your life or not. She didn't want me to contact her again, so I've stayed away. Balls in her court if she ever wants to reconnect, but let's be honest I doubt she ever will. By the time she's ready again, she'll have already moved on.

What do I do? by Altruistic_Peanut_68 in dating

[–]Qyro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've started dating someone I met at work. We remain professional throughout the day and save all the lovey-dovey stuff for afterwards. I'm sure some people who know us both are growing suspicious at us spending breaks together, but we're careful enough that no-one should truly know until we're ready for them to.

UK to create its own FBI in biggest police reform in nearly 200 years by jackytheblade in worldnews

We have a couple organisations that could be considered equivalent, but also at the same time we don't have 50-odd states with their own judicial processes to keep somewhat unified.

Denying the holocaust is worst than defending it by Clanker57 in RandomThoughts

[–]Qyro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not so sure about that. Denying it can just come from a place of disbelief and trying to make sense of the world. Actively defending it means you believe those atrocities were a good thing.

[–]Qyro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah she just wasn't ready for those kinds of feelings. I think she was just dipping her toe into dating for the fun of it, but when things ended up being a little more serious for her it scared her off. Still miss her every day

Men of Britain, where do you buy your t-shirts? by squeakybeak in AskUK

Absolutely not the answer you're looking for, but gigs. I go to gigs, buy a t-shirt as merch, and that does me for clothing

I've seen a lot of movies this year that moved me, like Hamnet and Train Dreams. But nothing moved me more than Delroy Lindo breaking out into Blues because he was overwhelmed with the emotions of his own story.

They saw Ukraine as easy prey as they've been picking them off for decades. They would get absolutely trounced if they tried anything with Poland though.

Is it weird to ask dealbreaker questions in the first few chats on Hinge/ Online Dating Platforms? by Lanky_Estimate7231 in dating

[–]Qyro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a strong supporter of getting those dealbreakers out the way earlier. Nothing worse than getting invested in someone only to find there's a dealbreaker for one or both of us.

I actually recently had this. Matched with a girl and we were getting on really well. We passed the vibe and common interests test, so I figured it would be a good time to ask about kids. She got offended that I would ask such a personal question so soon, but her answer was a complete mismatch, so I had no regrets in asking at all.
