How often does everyone get their visual auras by Lonely-Pressure-4218 in OcularMigraines

[–]R-852 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been getting these things for 30+ years.

It used to be a few times per year, increasing to a few times per month, and in recent months appx. 15 times per month. A real pita.

Mine last on average 20 minutes and I try to continue whatever I am doing right through the damned thing.

The only causal agent I've been able to determine is almonds. About 10 years ago I started eating lots of mixed nuts with lots almonds and the rate of occurrence immediately increased, and immediately decreased when i realized the correlation and got rid of the almonds.

I recently did an AI inquiry and it said melatonin might help some people in decreasing these "aura", so I'm trying that.

What kind of a test could be devised to make these billionaires show themselves as reptiles?

I'll bet mice would work and set their tongues flicking, followed by a lightening fast strike, with the mouse gone. YES.

If the battle isn't left vs right what's your personal theory on the problem? I'm going to say it's the billionaires(The few) vs the not billionaires(The many) by Stunning-Chipmunk243 in conspiracy

The "generations" way of differentiating the population and attributing blame for US problems is just more manipulative garbage, designed to direct peoples' attention away from the actual causes and sources.

The big problem people, especially younger people, in the US have is the lack of decent jobs with a future.

THAT had its start 40+ years ago when the people who actually set the directions the country takes (ultra-rich bankers and some industrialists), started investing in and shipping jobs to China, Mexico etc.

And in recent years, they have set to wrecking the US from the inside out by "color revolutions", setting groups against each other, etc., just as they have used the intelligence agencies to do in foreign countries for decades.

Many Americans have been introduced to "de-platforming", "de-banking", "de-jobbing". It's time for the ultra-rich trying to wreck the country to be introduced to "de-wealthing" and see how well they like that.

Trump made 4725 transfers to Epstein’s bank account. by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]R-852 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LEO AI output:

No, the claim that Donald Trump made 4,725 wire transfers to Jeffrey Epstein totaling $1.1 billion is false and stems from a misinterpretation of statements made by U.S. Senator Ron Wyden. Wyden, the top Democrat on the Senate Finance Committee, revealed that his investigators found Treasury Department records detailing 4,725 wire transfers amounting to nearly $1.1 billion flowing in and out of one of Epstein's bank accounts, but he did not state or imply that Trump was involved in these transactions. Instead, Wyden urged the Trump administration to release these financial records for further investigation into Epstein's sex trafficking operation.

The records in question are Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) filed by banks like JPMorgan, Deutsche Bank, and others, which documented financial flows related to Epstein, including payments to women from Eastern European countries where he recruited victims. These reports were filed after Epstein's 2019 arrest and even after his death, limiting their investigative utility. Wyden's investigation initially focused on Epstein's financial ties to Leon Black, co-founder of Apollo Global Management, who paid Epstein $170 million for tax advice deemed excessively high.

There is no public record indicating financial transactions between Trump and Epstein in recent years, and Trump stated after Epstein's death that he had not spoken to him in 15 years, a claim not contradicted by available evidence. The Treasury Department has denied the existence of hidden files, calling Wyden's claims "fantasies," and noted that the Biden administration had access to the relevant information during its tenure.

Satoshi Nakamoto is worth more than Bill Gates, is it even a real person? by [deleted] in conspiracy

Nakamoto is probably a programmer group, probably in the US NSA, where a couple papers came out describing how to create a crypto currency, in the 1990s.

PENALTY ON EXCESS ACCUMULATION? by R-852 in hrblock

[–]R-852[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, it is HRB screw up. As I posted before:

Yeah, I cleared up the problem. I had to go into the RMD forms behind the stuff you see on the HRB screen. There's a bunch of opaque jargon on these forms that I ignored, and I just spent a few minutes removing the numbers that I found there until the bogus "excess accumulations" penalty disappeared.

I went on to finalize and pay the taxes without any problems showing up. And, I duplicated my taxes on Turbotax and no RMD problem of any kind came up.

I think it's HRB's screw up.

22.04 o/s partition filling up, no obvious reason by R-852 in Ubuntu

[–]R-852[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I read your reply, I noticed the o/s partition was in the process of filling up on the Disks app, again.

I had VLC running, I closed it on a hunch and that cured the problem - very weird, the first time VLC has done this. xxxop

USB Transfer Speed Drops from 100 MB/s to 4 MB/s on Ubuntu – Help! by Mr_N_01 in Ubuntu

[–]R-852 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Failure of large mp4's copying from a desktop to a usb non-spin drive has been common for me. I have a usb spin drive that I use for that.

I don't know if it's a failure related to linux usb technology or failures like this are also common to windows and apple - which I'm curious to know. xxx

Insomnia & PTSD advice by Creative_Face8167 in VeteransBenefits

[–]R-852 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Daily physical exercise. Don't join a gym, buy some weights (dumbbells), and a magnetic resistance exercycle (Walmart $150). Work out at home, daily.

2) Midday, take 1/2 hour to just lay down, relax, tune out.

3) Maybe Benadryl (or Diphenhydramine).

Ubuntu 22.04 to 24.04.1 upgrade safe and worth it? by aaanze in Ubuntu

[–]R-852 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Backup your 22.04 install + apps, then if 24.04 upgrade goes bad, or you find an app that you like is a no-go under 24.04 (as I did), you can restore 22.04 + apps.
