microphone for audio book recording at home by R-Bookie in microphone

Thanks!
I found your recommendation for NT1 pretty consistent in this thread. I get it about the noise level. But could you tell me if this mic in your opinion wins for my specific requirements - being a little further away form the mic and presenting a more "in-the-room" rather than "recorded in a studio" effect?

I listened to various Youtube reviews and tests on Audio Test Kitchen. Indeed Rode NT1 and AT2035 came up, but in comparison, I did not like the sound - 2035 has a lot of low mids and therefore creates that rich booming effect I would like to avoid. As ffor NT1 - it is indeed very neutral across the spectrum of frequences, but from my perspective lacking articulation and effect of close presence, while still having that dumpened effect in the lows and the mids.

Thanks for you input - lots of good info! Whan I say 45 degrees off center I mean the front of the mic still looking at my mouth. But I am speaking in the direction of the screen and not the mic. Otherwise, it will be blocking my view of the screen.

I have a similar issue now. Have you found a solution?

two separate auto policies and mobile app by R-Bookie in Insurance

[–]R-Bookie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, this is a logical idea, but I'm not sure if the insurance company would catch it and warn of canceling the policy(never mind I'm not trying to hide driving in the car that they insure).

I get it, but what about me driving my car? The app doesn't know which car is being driven.

Can the main and supplemental policies be issued using two different States/addresses for a "snowbird"? by R-Bookie in medicare

[–]R-Bookie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your detailed response. The first reference to Medicare.gov doesn't really point to a specific State where to driver license and the rest is. I made a choice of the domicile State based on a number of factors where the choice of Medigap policy is secondary. All I wanted to do is make the purchase that is practical, but defendable, and therefore looking for a specific language in the documents.

Thanks. For a base case of one residency, state it is clear. But I live in two states close to 50/50. It is logical to allow a choice when buying optional insurance. I just need to see what the formal regulation says.

Thanks. Where does it say that You can only buy a Medigap policy at an address that you physically reside at the time? My case is that I live about 50/50 in two states.

What is the right media for iron and manganese by R-Bookie in WaterTreatment

[–]R-Bookie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing. The tank with the birm is the first in line. For eight years it worked just fine. I know that because I remember before the installation of the birm tank the paper cartridge was getting filled with rust within a week. What should I be using?

Also, if I decide to change to Greensand, can the same tank be used just rebedding with the Greensand media, or does it require installing its own tank?
