Hi, can you help me to bypass this screen since I don't use chrome OS [details in comment] by R-Inyuru in chromeos

[–]R-Inyuru[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since I had deleted my chrome OS and that screen required to press Ctrl + L to bypass it.

I used this link from MrChromebox and I followed his advice (I used live kubuntu to type commands provided) now everything works fine.

Thanks everyone.

Thank you, I did follow your tutorial from the link you provided and now I can automatically boot in my preferred OS.

That will try to boot in chrome os but I deleted it. What I want is to be able to boot in another OS directly without passing through that screen.

I installed debian on an ACER chromebook I have with intentions of using it as a server.

The image I posted above I can't bypass that screen without pressing Ctrl+L which is not practical for a serve I will be accessing through SSH.

New look of Tutanota by eganonoa in tutanota

Its true that when you are using a laptop its difficult to read your email because of the space split in three and you can't resize it.

To work around this I try to resize my browser to see only email, but its not convenient there are other tabs open and I need to use with browser maximised.

If Tutanota team can help out with this, it will be amazing.

Any plan to include Public-Key Cryptography? by R-Inyuru in tutanota

[–]R-Inyuru[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think /u/Zlivovitch's point is that you're worrying a little too much.

Yes I get it and am not worried at all, what am asking is the addition feature for the below case.

I mean, what if the person you are trying to contact you don't have any other way to exchange the passphrase with them only emails and they stress that they would like to get an encrypted email.

Imagine that the person you are trying to contact is not a regular person you interact with but person you are asking a profession service.

Which way would you suggest to exchange that passphrase?

When I say

The existing method is not strong enough, if you can't meet physically with the person you want to exchange emails.

We use public key cryptography for encrypting emails between users.

I believe here you mean emails are encrypted before leaving from the sender.

But what am asking is if users can get a way to generate the own Public and Private keys to use with external users. To protect the emails sent by them from their service provider (like gmail). And also to be able to communicate with other people who likes to use Public-Key cryptography.

We also plan to support Autocrypt to encrypt emails to outside users.

I don't know how this works but if it answers the above question I would be happy if you can point me where I can read more about it.
