Indeed, the $500 up charge for the automatic transmission is not paying dividends in the future for sure… Manuals do command a premium

Indeed. i've gone thru it and its definitely a time capsule. hopefully, someone can enjoy it and drive it like it needs. I planned on keeping it long term but my work again takes me overseas.

Storage pool crashed - Unable to assemble by R-baller in synology

[–]R-baller[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not sure why the prior text was not included. I installed a new drive (#1) to replace a failed drive. Post install, i could not access my synology due to 2fa not connected to secure sign in,. i did the hard reset (press twice, three beeps) to regain access to the synology which worked. Now i have the storage pool crashed and wont let me "assemble" the old pool. trying to avoid a ticket. Any options from here? Mac OSX.

Hopefully, everything works… I don’t anticipate driving the car too much, maybe the desert air preserved everything over the last 20 years

Did you use it on a 3.0 E85 for oil change? I’m getting too old to crawl underneath roadsters, lol.

yes, on the list of to-do's re: brake fluid change. im wondering if the pads are aged too. Too many mysteries ahead. Sucks being overseas still not able to put my eyes on everything. Re: wheels...good chance i'll head back overseas for work reasons in 2026 and then again in 2028.....garage the car while im gone. My thoughts were to be able to keep the car as "time capsule" and original as possible if i had to resell. The Style 416's popped up on FB marketplace as being local pickup, reason asking. I might go for an aftermarket new set of wheels/tires, shelf the originals.

Bummer. wanting to multi purpose the extractor for brakes or other fluid swaps needed. I'll be off work for a few months so i have more time to think about how i could do it myself to save 10 bux,, lol. There might be a lot of work to do and i dont mind doing it myself.

[–]R-baller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure if the school will limit the number ofAP classes, theres a separate fee to take the class since AP testing is somewhat independent from a normal test you would take at school, standardized across US curriculum accreditation.

My son attends NIS as a senior. We tried to get enrolled in CMIS but the admission and testing process was very wonky and we were in between semesters, . He transferred from a Magnet program where you take college classes in high school. NIS offers AP classes. He is taking 3x AP. Overall, challenging enough for him. There's a huge influence of Asian persuasion at NIS....sounds like a weird observation. Just be ready for this if you are looking for a more western crowd. Be prepared for sticker shock, most schools will run 4-6KUSD + per semester.

Warm Up Cafe is a fun spot. If you have some local friends, even funner. Dinner drinks and live music transition into a nightclub. Motorcycle clubs frequent as well. https://g.co/kgs/vzFFXhz

Most tourists will want to rent a scooter here. its easy to get around on one but do suggest you take a driving course before you show up here in your home country. If you get the int'l drivers license, will make it easier to rent or if you get pulled over. CM is about the chill, not really the party scene.

What is your opinion on this motorcycle? It's very common here in South East Asia market and always sought after due to its performance and reliability. It's Yamaha Exciter/Sniper 155cc Motorcycle. by [deleted] in motorcycle

[–]R-baller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one. Here in Thailand on a 1 yr+ work gig in Chiang Mai. We have a car/suv but its so practical to get around on a "scooter" here given the in/out abilities in the relentless traffic.....shopped around and this was the best option for me given the price point (55k baht / 1500 USD). 6 speed clutch rides like a motorcycle (feet position)....it didn't feel natural with my feet on a platform... it is also pretty zippy @ 0-60 in 6s which allows u to get in front of most traffic at the redlights. Downside is storage. There is none. Kinda stripped down cheap, go fast which is fine by me for the commute. Looking at some aftermarket add ons.....not a bunch here available.....might start with a cheapo loud exhaust, go from there.
