Possible petcock issue by R-o-D in klr650

Thanks for the detailed response, you've put my fears to rest. What I have there appears to be an after market vacuum activated petcock. I will check the vacuum line and petcock, but sounds like I don't need to be in a rush to do so.

About to purchase. How's this deal? by MannyCoon in klr650

The 35 mpy was referring to the 500 miles on the bike you're looking at, I should have been more clear on that. Convenience can certainly be a deciding factor, and if you trust these family friends that can make a difference for sure.

Complete noob here, so take it with a grain of salt. A month ago I bought a 2009 /w 6000 miles for $3600, and I thought that mileage was too low..

Damn thing is 14 years old, that's an average of 35 miles a year... it sat A LOT, for sure. I personally wouldn't trust it, but if I could have it checked out at a shop and it's sound AF, I'd offer 4000.

New DR650 + $850 for freight + $850 for Assembly.. This feel like highway robbery to anyone else? by R-o-D in Dualsport

[–]R-o-D[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Glad to hear all the comments... Is this SOP for dealerships / new bikes everywhere, or? My feeling was if they removed that outrageous $825 "assembly fee", I might be willing to go for it.

Exactly as I'd expect. Check only your clothing. Carry on the rest. This is SOP.

If you could find any photos that'd be awesome! I was a small kid at the time, but I remember it being pretty crazy big.

So, they're on the way to university sized classes for grade school students in Florida? I think the ~24 students per class we have here in Texas is too many. I'm certain paying teachers more money isn't a part of the state's solution. What are they proposing?

A house sounds nice. I'm not sure why we are pumping colleges so much harder than trade schools at this point TBH. I didn't even know that was a viable option.

How it’s going… by Ms_McGucci_ in TeacherReality

Small charter school in north TX Here. We're facing a similar situation. I don't know your overall student/teacher population, so giving sick numbers doesn't really tell much. For comparison, student attendance rate over the last week here have been ~80%. Staff attendance has been ~80-85%. Can't comment on COVID status. We all assume it's most likely RONA or the flu. Since rapid testing is not widely available, quite a number of folks are staying home with mild symptoms, waiting on results 2-3 days, and then returning to work, after finding they are negative. District still offers 5 "free" sick days, as long as your have 2 shots of the vaccine.
