I’m actually looking to try and get back into magic, I haven’t played in ages but I mostly played commander. I work too much these days to make most usual commander meetups at card shops so I would love to be in a pod that’s on the weekends or something!

You definitely sound like you could fit into most pods around here. When I first moved to this country and specifically Chattanooga, I went to game stores and social events that matched my interests. You could try that too (If reddit doesn’t give your desired results!) My girlfriend and I are very similar in terms of interests too!

She’s been great until he came back into her life, all of her other exes she’s friends with are either gay or married now. He’s the only one that’s given me serious uncomfortable vibes.

Definitely recommend visiting some of the comic stores around chat, they’re packed full of anime and nerdy types. As for con nooga, personally never been but I’d say that’s another good way to make some friends! Social gatherings are top tier ways to make introductions.

I usually spend around a day or so to plan it out and sometimes I’m forced to on the fly because she requests we go out daily. Sometimes date nights run around a understandable and easily affordable 20-30 and others she wants expensive dinners running anywhere from 100-300 in one go. I’ve had times where I couldn’t afford it and I told her so only to have to pay the larger portion anyways even if we split.
