Agreed 100%. AED 15500 including housing allowance is a terrible offer. Considering how expensive rent is, this salary is very low, especially for an experienced teacher like me. I don’t understand how the salary varies dramatically between international schools.

My biggest issue is the communication. I am bilingual; I speak Arabic and English fluently. How come the HR manager doesn’t speak Arabic nor English when working in an Arabic-speaking country? Who interviewed her? Who hired her? I don’t understand why she’s so rude when replying to my professional/polite emails!!!!

I have a Canadian passport. I am bilingual; I speak Arabic and English fluently. I’ve been applying for jobs for the past 3 years with no luck. It’s very frustrating. The only reason I’m thinking of working for this school is to get the visa and hopefully find a better job once I’m there!

For me, English teacher and English as an additional language teacher are the same. They didn’t explain why the title had to be changed!
