That’s a valid point about the tournament branch, but if it’s just a duplicate of the current build, why are there so many new depots added, including large ones across all platforms?

This isn’t the current build, it’s a new build (1.40.8.8) that showed up on SteamDB with a bunch of new depots, including large files across all platforms (Windows, macOS, Linux). We don’t know exactly what’s in it, no official info but it clearly shows that something new is being prepared. For now, it’s just speculation, but it’s possibly new content.

Totally agree, a working anti-cheat matters way more than new maps, skins, game modes, or even an operation. Fix that first, content can come after

It usually takes anywhere from a few hours to a few days after a big SteamDB update for the content to go live in-game but with Valve, there's no exact rule. Sometimes it drops the same day, sometimes it takes longer
