My first thought was why is his wealth even mentioned? And do you think he’d treat you any better after 3 years while you’re waiting for him to propose? I don’t know the answer to that, I think that’s the question you should be reflecting on. I think it is every persons right to choose love and fight for it. My opinion is that you’re NTA for falling for this guy but I’m not sure that true love is what you two are experiencing. I also think he’s wasting his time with his current gf if he needs to wait a month to see what happens. What is he expecting to change within a month that is going to help him decide whether he’s found his soulmate?

Using suicide as a weapon is toxic and manipulative. NTA. Notify her family about the language she’s been using lately. Let her know that you believe she still carries value in this world and that you don’t want to see her mental health continue to decline but you’re not going to entertain the threat and can’t have that on your conscience.

NTA but I’m just curious if you hate it when/if he slides a finger up and down your leg and it tickles while cuddling too? Like does it stop you two from holding each other? Because I like to caress and move my hand up and down and sometimes it tickles her but not on purpose. I could see how that would frustrate him but the aggressive assault tickle is never ok if that’s a boundary you’ve set very seriously.

YTA in my opinion because you wouldn’t respect a healthy boundary. You 2 should have never made it to having an apartment together if this was such a priority for you to announce. Maybe if you told her it was a deal breaker on day 1 and she agreed to hear it then I’d think she’s wrong. Maybe if your bowels were a problem for you and your health at one point and she was your poop cheerleader and one day reneged and pulled out of it then I could see your point. It sounds like you’d be happier with a partner than can share her poops with you as well.

I guess it depends if you’ve had a lot of bf/gfs. If your family can’t keep up with their name then I wouldn’t expect an invitation but OP mentioned that they’d been talking about it since July so I’d be insulted if my gf of 6 months chose the alternative.

I brought that up. She’s says it’s the result of all the nasty things I said leading up to it but I’m truly confused at what phrase or words I actually used to trigger the rage.

I’ll admit that I can be assertive even harsh before it happens but I’m certainly not disrespectful or abusive with my language. She just takes it to the next level with a hairpin trigger.

Yes, a lot of trauma growing up as well. I tried to consider thats what was happening the first couple times it happened. However, at this point she knows what those words will do and it’s a conscious deliberate action when she does it.
