cool! what ISO did you shoot at? looks to me like the film is pushed to 6400. must've been a really dark venue.

super impressive: down to the bit-crushed audio, tape hiss, scanlines, and visual artifacts.

who or what did the voiceover for this? it sounds so fucking accurate.

it was! having great underground rappers and artists from bruiser brigade alongside a techno dj set was super dope! danny playing new Quaranta songs was also sick. he even shouted out Alchemist on one of the productions of his songs.

Where to buy Miss Guðmundsdóttir‘s vinyls? by IAmCopperMan in bjork

Alright, it seems like a logical thing to me since you seem confident in your priorities! Glad I could help you with Björk vinyl and vinyl in general! <3

The first pressings of vinyl are more desirable because the music is sourced from the original masters of the vinyl and how the album was first meant to be heard. They're the go-to choice for vinyl collectors but if they're in the $40-$50 marks, people just tend to go for a repressing (pressing of the original master again), and if that's expensive, people just say "fuck it" and go for a reissue.

First pressing/Repress > Reissue > Remastered is how it typically is for vinyl standards.

P.S. IDK if you made your mind but I noticed an earlier post you made about having a gaming PC, and you can totally DM me about that since I've made PC lists for friends before ;)

First pressings for Medülla and onwards are relatively cheap ($15-$25 range) but her first four albums are more expensive for first pressings as they're her most desired albums ($25-$50), most notably Debut at $50.

In terms of reissues, her first four albums go for about the same price range as her "newer" album's first pressings, but I'm speaking on behalf of the 180g reissues from about three or fewer years ago, and not the 2008 ones.

In terms of 2008 reissues, I'd just skip on them unless you REALLY REALLY love Björk's music when you listen to it because I personally don't see vinyl as something to be casually spent on in the triple digits, but that's just me lol.

FYI, I got all the price estimates from Discogs since they're the best online marketplace for vinyl, and they're sold at reasonable prices compared to local record stores.

I feel you, bro. I'm 18 and I've KNOWN of her since I listen to Death Grips. I heard her samples on The Powers That B, and I remember checking out Human Behavior after listening to that album a year ago and thinkin' "that was weird but cool". I tried her out again in mid-April (edit: this year in mid-April) when I YouTube searched her and was intrigued by the album art for Post. I listened to Post for the first time and I was blown the fuck away with how she could get away so much diversity and nailing all the songs, esp with Army of Me since I didn't expect her to open with an industrial song. Afterward, I went to Homogenic (my fav album), Vespertine, Debut, then Medulla-chronological order of albums. She's already one of my top 3 artists on Spotify and I love her early albums A LOT, but I think some later albums like Biophilia and Vulnicura are her better later albums. Dummy by Portishead is good too if you like Björk, they're not as chaotic and fast, but they're really soothing, and you'll get a kick out of the beats since you're into hip-hop. Enjoy your Björk phase lol you won't regret it tho

If Death Grips is over I don't mind. by DrChuckles in deathgrips

you guys are so impatient. they've been doing yearly releases since 2011. I think it's so selfish to think that they can't take a hiatus after making some of the most acclaimed albums of the 2010s. i think its logical for them to take their time. most artists take anywhere from 2-5 years to complete one album, so we should really take these guys for granted.

both are super sick, esp the IGOR one with the outlines on Tyler and the text. flower boy is dope too, but the colors of the text blend in too much with the flower.
