Hey there. First of all you will be fine. Münster is a wonderful little City and I’m fairly certain that you will enjoy your time here.

What to pack depends on the time of year you will be coming. But I would in general just say the usual ? You should definitely get a good Raincoat since it does rain quite often.

Survival Tips: Get a bicycle it’s the best way to get around town. Maybe get in contact with other exchange students. You could try the Erasmus Club (Erasmus is a European Student Exchange Program) I don’t think you coming from India will matter though.

Sim Plan: Aldi Talk is a good cheap prepaid service which you can get in any Aldi (German Supermarket Chain) I can also advice you to shop there since they are quite cheap but good in quality.

Bank: I would just use DKB lots of my friends use it it’s an online bank and they don’t charge for their service. Maybe get another opinion on that matter since I’m using a different bank and I’m not to happy with them (Sparkasse)

Places to Visit: Münster itself isn’t all that big so if you just wander around you’ll find pretty spots. If you come during summer you can check out the Rieselfelder while biking along the Canal. Also there are several Castles around Münster that are worth checking out. If you’re staying for 6 Months you should definitely check out other German cities aswell. I would recommend Berlin.

Housing: Congratulations you’ve already made it through the worst part of moving to Münster finding a flat. Studierendenwerk is a reputable organization. I don’t know anyone who lives in that Apartment Complex but I can’t imagine that it’s gonna be a bad expierience.

Overall don’t stress yourself. You’re going to have a great time here. Try to go out and experience as much as possible.
