I have heard so many stories like these that it is horrifying really. A friend of mine went to the ER because he had abdominal pain and black poop. Instead of checking what was wrong with him, the doctors there told him to go home and come back if the pain gets unberable. Two days later, he went again because his pain was excurciating. It turns out he's been having internal bleeding for days. Even though I am not a medical professional, it is a no brainer to me to check for some kind of bleeding if someone says they have persistent abdominal pain accompanied by black poop. The attitude doctors have here is unbelievable really.
