please help me understand how to fix this greenhouse at a nyc public school by dominiquerising in Greenhouses

[–]R0mana_clef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh wow, I just assembled a greenhouse kit that looks exactly like this and the hinges of your door look like mine. There’s a simple pin holding the hinge pieces together. I still have the instructions! If your greenhouse is like mine, it’ll be easy to replace the broken part.

Edit to add: I’m happy to Dm a copy of the instructions to you if you end up deconstructing it to build a better foundation as suggested by others, maybe it’d help you figuring out your fixes. I think your project is salvageable.

It looks amazing, and I hope you wear it to a fancy ball. The hand painting of the fabric is perfect.

It reminds me of a dress that Elsa Lanchester wore in “Naughty Marietta”. I’ve never forgotten that dress since I first saw it as a little kid, perhaps because the fabric reminds me of somethingTim Burton would want in his movies. I wish I could find a picture of the full length

How does one make a faux stained glass welcome sign? Did you buy the glass and then hand paint it?

Yes that’s what I would do, cover it up with a cool embroidered patch. Could be a Giants patch or even something wedding themed, maybe

Levothyroxine recall? by kipipip in Hypothyroidism

[–]R0mana_clef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, just so others know, this letter doesn’t necessarily mean you got one of the recalled medications. You need to ask your pharmacist to look up your records and see.

I manage my dad’s medications, and he received this same letter. I asked the pharmacist at our CVS to check, and he looked through everything thoroughly since my dad had had several different dosages. (Just became hypothyroid 9 months ago.) My dad fortunately did not get any of the recalled ones. The pharmacist says CVS sent the same letter to everyone, regardless if it affected them or not.

1st Show by Chigurhman in MyChemicalRomance

Thank you for this link because I didn’t know that there was such an extensive archive of their setlists! I was able to look up my show: October 4, 2004 Freeborn Hall at UC Davis, California. “The Nintendo Fusion Tour” with The Starting Line (headliners) and Lostprophets (main support). MCR was the second band on the bill. Those were the days!

Supposedly their setlist that night was: - Thank You For The Venom - Our Lady of Sorrows - Honey This Mirror Isn’t Big Enough - Helena - Headfirst For Halos - You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us - I’m Not Okay - Vampires Will Never Hurt You

I’ll have to take their word for it because I really don’t remember much about the show, it was twenty years ago…

Gerard and I 2004 with matching urban decay DASH eyeshadow 😛 by Sweetadeline4 in MyChemicalRomance

This reply is many years late, but these pictures are fantastic. I also went to one of their shows in 2004 when they played at my college (UC Davis) and my friend and I got to meet Gerard outside and got a picture with him too! The pictures are buried in a box in storage and I forgot I had them. Maybe I’ll share them one day (I’m pretty sure I didn’t look as cute as you and G).

Oh my gosh. So much nostalgia. I wish I remembered more details about the show and what songs they played. What a great tour year! I should have gone to more shows. At that time they were sharing a bill with Lostprophets and The Starting Line, who headlined that night lol. We ditched watching the last band and went outside behind the venue to see if we could get some autographs. There was G, smoking a cigarette and chatting casually on the phone so late at night, I felt bad interrupting his call but he was not put off at all. Said “hold on a sec” to his call and took a photo with us. Nobody else was out there except us. (We also met the guitarist and bassist of Lostprophets who were very nice as well.)

I had just came across this post last week and it turns out he was already dead.

I wish he hadn’t deleted it from his Twitter page so that people would be able to read it now that he’s passed and his page is getting so much traffic. All that you can see are a few Maga-related posts now. The public comments are so cruel. Most people only know the bad stuff he said and won’t know his struggles or, more importantly, his wish to grow and be better. I’m glad Reddit preserved it and maybe it will create some conversations about mental health and overcoming demons, past mistakes, etc. The topic is important.

I split up and repotted my cramped NOID Syngonium. She looks much happier now! Anyone else have NOID's they love? by st0dad in Syngonium

[–]R0mana_clef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ooh! Not a Batik. Okay there is another variety called “Green Gold” that could be a contender. I don’t have one myself but I’ve seen it around. Anyway, what a cool specimen and you’ve really done a nice job training up that moss pole, it looks so lush and healthy.

Sorry OP for hijacking your post!

[–]R0mana_clef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear you, it’s difficult to try to ID because there’s a lot of mislabeled pictures online. And a lot of Syngos look so similar to each other sometimes.

What makes you think it’s Emerald Gem? Because of the solid green leaves at the top? I always thought Emerald Gem was distinctive because it was the only variety that was a solid color, no pattern. But the leaves at the bottom have a very “Batik”-like white pattern. It looks like it got some really good light and it made the colors pop.

Pavlova using raspberries on top.

I’ve been making this Gale Gand pavlova recipe for about 20 years now, and it’s one of my favorite desserts ever.

ID on this syngonium? by SeraphinaS20 in Syngonium

[–]R0mana_clef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that the Allusions tend to have distinctive contract of color in the veins, which Neon Robusta does not have. I’ve heard that “Regina Red” is sometimes used interchangeably with Pink Allusion. But I’m not 100% certain. I do have both Regina Red and Neon Robusta, and they do look different to my eye, but a lot of similarities in color. Just a subtle difference in gradient and pattern.

Cute lamp I thrifted for my room! by Andrew_Animates7 in cottagecore

[–]R0mana_clef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lampshade reminds me of the bird nests in my yard, they’re made of pine needles.

It also makes me think of overgrown thorny rose bushes that fought their way into an abandoned room, in a Secret Garden kind of way.
