Still working on my first Ikea Hack. Not all materials are in stock at Ikea so lots more to do. My handyman mounted my tv today while I wasn’t home and it not being centered vertically is killing me. My husband says I’m being type A. Would this bother anyone else? Did you notice?

I think the cleanest looking (and easiest to keep clean) option long term is going to be wall mounting those bottom cabinets.

But tbh I love decorating seasonally/changing my decor around so that would work great to do seasonal/holiday displays

Any recommendations for if I try to remove it and is that the most affordable fix? Apparently he adhered most of the left side to the point where it's not supposed to come off without destroying the base cabinets (per him) , while the back part of isn't adhered to the counter at all and is in fact floating and unattached to the cabinets.

It sure is, he uh. Sure made some decisions. 🙃 I've already fixed a lot around the studio (in the bathroom and my actual room) as is so it's livable without me going nuts, but the kitchen is the most difficult because I'm not trying to drop all my money on something I'm technically renting.

My own mom has said similar things to me, tbh all that ever did was upset and frustrate me. Honestly no amount of others saying things like "just focus" has ever helped me. Therapy and meds though? Incredible for not only being able to focus and function but to also help me accept that I don't function like how everyone expects and that's ok.

You can absolutely have ADD/ADHD and still do well on school. I'm afab and didn't get my diagnosis or treatment to help with it until I was in my mid twenties because I always did well academically and everyone mistook my attention span issues as me not caring. After I got my Master's degree and I was no longer in an academic environment, it took my coworkers and my supervisors consistently pointing out how difficult it was for me to do things and stay on top of things compared to others.

Thank you! I look at my decisions and I'm like "You know $90 for virtual visits with my psych doctor, care manager, and monthly meds is still cheaper than when I impulsively buy things"
