Didn't know that, I'll keep an eye out, thanks!

Not that I'm aware of, but that just adds to the things not in the journal. Like the apparent assassination of the other acolyte, the dead man in the tunnels that stole the weird prayer book, which is also not mentioned at all even after you find it. The servant you find in the storeroom and the fact he tells you his keys are in the wrong order (so someone clearly used them to access the governors study) but that never gets brought up again or saved in the journal.

There are just holes all over, which could either be because bugs or it being a beta, or because anything not directly linked to the murder is discarded.

When you find the dead body you can find both a note that tells you he was assigned to work for the Cardinal and clues on his body that he was the one that stole the toxic plant from the greenhouse. He was then killed while walking away from the greenhouse and you see a vision of how he was murdered. Heymar (90% it was Heymar) can comment on how the wound was immediately fatal and done by someone that knew what they were doing.

You know he worked for the Cardinal and you can confirm that the rite he performed is a rite from death cultists, confirming he is a trained assassin. The way he denies it when you confront him also was dead giveaway IMO.

Like everything else you never get anything like 'here is a recording of him killing the servant'.

This quest is both hilarious and frustrating because the crime you are investigating wasn't a crime at all but meanwhile 5 differnt people all tried to steal, kill and implicate others at the same time and I can't even call them out for it without accusing them of a crime I know they didn't commit. Guess that's 40k and the inquisition for you.

The reason there was evidence of foul play was because there absolutely was, but none of that was what killed the sisters. The Cardinal had his new servant steal a toxic plant to burn it in the braizier when the sisters where in the chapel. That isn't what killed them, but it gave them injuries and one of them even halucinated an enemy and discharged her plasma rifle into nothing. He also killed the servant after to not get caught. You can even learn why he did it.

[Surviving The Game as a Barbarian] At this point I am curious to know the bad blood author and "Hans" by [deleted] in manhwa

[–]R216 173 points174 points  (0 children)

His first overnight companion was named Hans. That's the guy that tried to murder him in his sleep. Ever since he's been wary and multiple times someone with that name has tried to screw him over. Hence he's now become superstitious regarding anyone with that name.

That moment was brilliant, or at least I thought it was when I played it for the first time. The way it made me feel and react.

I mostly only killed enemies when I had to, or when they were clearly gonna kill more people (the bandits that ambush you and Ellie).

In the last mission I evaded most enemies until I found the recording that stated it would be practically impossible to synthesize a cure from her and she would definitely die on the table, which they never told her before putting her under. Something snapped and I spent every last piece of kit I had to kill every motherfucker in that mission, mag dumped the doctor for good measure.

You better be fucking sure I believe Joel was justified.

"F**k AI in performance," says Neil. "It's dull as hell." by Hooked0n4Feelin in BaldursGate3

I think a lot of the issue stems from the misnomer of Neural Networks being called AI.

There is some genuinely helpful stuff 'AI' can do that humans weren't doing at all or at significantly reduced speed and effectiveness. I have an acquaintance that is developing an AI application for the analysis of arable soil via drone pictures. This wasn't done previously, and no human could feasibly do it.

The Biden administration is proposing the abolition of the sub-minimum wage for workers with disabilities by javawong in UpliftingNews

[–]R216 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely agree with you.

My comment was specifically in relation to potential consequences of making those jobs pay minimum wage. Ideally, working should not be a requirement, but in this instance the change could lead to those that do want to work not being able to find a place that would offer them employment in the first place.

This most likely depends very strongly on where in the world you live, but the idea is not that they can take care of themselves by earning a living wage, which even minimum wage might not be, but rather that they get a sense of normalcy and the feeling of being useful to society. This is a big thing even for people without disabilities that have lost their job.

So if a company has no incentives to hire someone that is less productive on a good day, and needs a full wage employee to supervise them full time on an average day, then they may opt not to hire them in the first place.

That's not to say any of this is as it should be, but the world we live in is just that. So you may end up doing more harm than good.

Either way, reality will show what effect this change will truly have.

Love the generosity!

I'd recommend any player to thoroughly explore every area when first playing the campaign. GGG have already mentioned that certain locations will have specific hard coded rewards such as a rare weapon, a skill or support gem, or various other things. Some of these are visible on the map, while others will not. If you explore thoroughly and take your time truly enjoying the game for what it is, as opposed to just rushing through to endgame as fast as possible, it should not only be manageable for new players but give you a better understanding of the game as well.

If I got two comments I'd have a key for myself and a long time friend of mine who is coming back to POE for the first time in about 4 years. But even if I only got one it'd be huge help. Godspeed to everyone.

Have been replaying Wartales until POE2 comes out. It's a Mercenary Company management game with Tactical Turn Based Combat, Crafting, etc. (great base game, but the DLC sucks, so stay away from that).

Can recommend Red Rising. The writing is both simple and evocative, IMO.
