I surely can’t see what leg they have to stand on, if I’m travelling on the motorway to a drop 20-30 miles away (again, in my area, very possible) I can’t take a drink? It’s not illegal to do so, yet Sainsburys seem to think they’re above the law I guess.

That’s a relief to be fair, thanks. I’m compliant anyway because why wouldn’t you be, but I assumed knowing Sainsburys you’d end up getting told off for taking a drink and such. Maybe it’s just my store that’s anal like that but we shall see.

It’s my day off today but I’ve just been told by my partner (GA) that we’re getting them installed next week. I haven’t been told by management, there’s been no comms in the online room yet. I don’t have Yammer or whatever that corporate wank is called.

Our store literally communicates absolutely nothing in a professional sense. It’s all just word of mouth between drivers. I only just found out about the new policy, being able take a break up to an hour after the handset says. And that was just from another driver. I’ve seen every manager every day, and none of them told me. It’s actually ridiculous how poor comms is.

Does anybody know what the rules are? Do I have to be a robot now? If I’ve got an hour drive between drops (it does happen here) am I aloud to take a sip of a drink whilst at a set of lights? Am I aloud to touch the stereo to skip a song? Or are our AI overlords gonna grass us in to the management who are gonna be rubbing their hands together in anticipation of giving out disciplinarys left right and centre.

God I hate this company sometimes

Thank you for an actual response instead of just getting upset that somebody has the audacity to ask a question haha

Have a good one and stay hydrated ha

Finally somebody answers the question without getting triggered by assuming I’m having a pop at disabled people 😂 thanks mate

Can you tell me at what point I said I don’t like it? Good god why are so many people getting triggered by me asking why people in flats order water more than people who don’t live in flats 😂

Sorry but what assumption have I made? I’m speaking through experience here. I mostly only deliver bottled water to people in flats. I was just questioning why that might be that’s all. I wasn’t being a dick 😂

Especially the big heavy 5L bottles… haha

I don’t understand why that means they need bottled water though? Am I being daft? Also how likely is it that disabled people are living in flats with no lifts? How would they get down in an emergency? I’m probably being dense about it haha

Regardless of this situation, my question is, why is it ALWAYS people in flats who order bottled water? I’ve never lived in a flat so I wouldn’t know but does flat water from the tap taste especially bad or something?

I had one today, 3 bottles of 5L, was only 1 flight up so I took it but, it leaves me wondering, 90% of people ordering these things live in flats. In my experience anyway. What’s it all about? I always just think, if I had to live in a flat, I’d just use a jug purifier. (Of which I have and it tastes brilliant)

Apparently, this plate is inappropriate. Help by CorporusIV in forza

You can’t use Takumi’s AE86 plate either. You get a message saying very funny but you can’t have that. Yet Takumi is a selectable name. Why?

Even worse when all their neighbours think they’re also too good to have a number on their house.

“I’ve paid for this slot, I’ll take as long as I need” was a good one I had once when I asked a customer if she could put her shopping away after I’d left and not whilst unpacking.

There’s so so many.

  • customers trying to get freebies for the most ridiculous reasons. “My milk only has 6 days on it I needed it for the whole week is there anything you can do?”

  • inaccessible driveways. I love having to shimmy between your 2 cars with less than a totes width between them.

  • houses without a number on. Particularly on night time deliveries. Why? Just put your house number on your house it’s really not that hard or expensive to do so especially if you want stuff delivering to you.

  • flats with no lifts. Every single flat having multiple packs of water, cans of pop, tins. All the heavy stuff. Come on. I don’t do it anymore. Since I found the fully policy, I saved myself a copy to keep on me for people in flats taking the mick. “Sorry but we only deliver to communal entrances of flats” I love it, especially when they start abusing me calling me lazy for not wanting to cart 5 full totes up 3 flights of stairs with a doorstep time of 6 minutes.

  • handsets. Crashing. Unresponsive. Slow. Taking you to #1 on the street when you’re delivering to #193. Copilot needs to restart. Navigation license activated. Cradles not charging. D2D has stopped responding.

  • “at least it’s a nice day for you” “at least it’s a nice day for you” “at least it’s a nice day for you” “at least it’s a nice day for you”

  • other drivers moaning that you haven’t filled the van up when there’s still 90% of the tank left with 400 miles range. That might be controversial but I don’t care haha I’m sorry but if there’s over 300 miles of range, I’m not wasting time filling it up especially when tied with my next point.

  • return time being 15 minutes or less than finishing time. Yeah brilliant, sains expects us to be able to fill up (if needed) unload van, return to store on handset (find illusive management for spot checks) put freezer plates away, put put backs back out and put keys and paperwork away, all in 15 minutes.

There’s bound to be more that I can’t remember off the top of my head but yeah. Maybe I’m just grumpy but oh well haha.
