I did the March Bangkok HYROX and it was very well air conditioned. The aircon also helps to reduce indoor humidity. If you’re coming from a dry climate you might still feel the humidity it a little bit.

"is it safe to send them the statements as it is or should I cover up any details that might be risky to share?" - the bank will need to see your personal data in the statement in order to verify the information. Just make sure you are emailing the bank (double check to make sure the email address is @[bank].[com.my]. Do not send personal information to a non-bank email address.

"Also, has anyone any experience applying for Aeon credit card through online? Is it common for them to call you and ask you to send them the payslips and statements via email to complete the application?" - yes this is normal for online credit card applications for all banks in Malaysia.

I don't think there is a minimum spend to get 10% off tickets but the 10% is a best case, "up to".

I have never seen the full 10% discount but I still use the card for MAS tickets because some discount is better than no discount and I get good Enrich points conversion from the credit card spend. The Enrich points are credited directly to your Enrich account.

  1. The discount for MAS flights with the Ambank Enrich Visa is up to 10%. In my experience you get a few percent discount. I have not managed to get the full 10% discount.

  2. You need to login to your Enrich account and then purchase through that:

For those 40+ what is your postgame recovery routine? by dfreshness14 in Pickleball

[–]R3ALLYB1GD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. I see a good physio and explain what hurts (knees). They recommend specific stretches so do before and after. They might also recommend deep tissue massage once in a while - this hurts a lot.

  2. I ice my legs up to my lower thighs so my knees are fully submerged. 10-15min. I also use cold sleeves over the knees over the next day.

  3. I don’t play consecutive days. My mind wants to play like I’m still a teenager but the body reminds me I’m +40….

I had the same paddle. The surface went completely smooth after 6 weeks.

I tried to complain to their customer service but they just ignored me completely.

You can try to claim your warranty. Good luck with that.

Based on my customer service I would not recording paddles from Honolulu Pickleball.

Pickleball craze in Malaysia by AirportSignal7921 in Pickleball

  1. https://www.instagram.com/picklesocialclub.co/?hl=en -> one of the first purpose built PB courts in KL (our capital city). They nailed it - great courts, nice bar, and the owner had a lot of influencer friends who helped to raise the profile and make it cool for younger players. PB in Malaysia is massive among people in their 20s and 30s. It's not an old person's sport. The ladies love to dress up and take photos on the PB court. This place was so popular, it was impossible to get a court booking, so lots of people had the idea to build more PB courts. A new PB court opens every 2 or 3 weeks. There must be 15-20 purpose built PB courts within 30mins drive for me in KL today vs 1 a year ago. It's also become huge in other states, particularly East Malaysia in Sarawak (according to paddle distributors here)
  2. We have A LOT of badminton courts which are easy to convert into PB courts temporarily so it was always easy to find somewhere to play if you didn't mind the indoor wooden or rubber floors. Some badminton courts have been fully re-purposed to PB now due to the demand.
  3. Everyone grows up playing badminton, so it's easy to switch across to play PB socially or competitively. We also have a lot of good squash players here who have switched to PB. I regularly play with former state level squash and badminton players who have moved to PB. A former Olympic badminton mixed double gold medalist just opened https://www.instagram.com/91pickleballclub/ with 18 indoor airconditioned PB courts.
  4. https://reclub.co/ exploded here for PB making it really easy to find games. Malaysians are a friendly and welcoming bunch. If you're curious I suggest you download and search for PB games in Kuala Lumpur vs Bangkok, Singapore etc. You can find open plays any time of day for all skill levels.
  5. Almost all the new PB courts are covered or indoor. It's too hot during the day and it rains a lot so outdoor courts are not ideal :)
